Canadian with a build date

Just to end a bunch of BS getting spewed on here, I just heard back from GM and I have a build date of March 14th and my car should be in my grubbly little hands by early April. So yes, it got delayed a little bit, but only a couple weeks. No biggie.. right when I come back from Europe I'll have a new car

When I was waiting for mine, I was also given a March 14 build date. I guess it is the "date" for Canadian cars???

As of last week, Rosemary @ GM informed me that my build date was still set for March 14/05. It HAS varied a bit between the previous and following week, and that ALOT of Candaian orders are being issued as the 2006 modell now, but not mine(THANK GOD). Starting to look like this is GO-TIME for the majority of the 2005 Canadian Cobalt SS S/C. P-p-p-p-lease!! still waiting for my Cobalt SS S/C........still going nuts! WooHoo...

Has anyone asked what will happen to the residual if you lease a 2005 car in April, cause it will be lower than if it was leased before March.
Does not apply if you buy, but those who are going to lease will take the hit due to GM's delays.

Dammit my car didn't get built yesterday. They pushed it back until next Monday. Maybe my car and Voodoosoups will be running down the line next to each other.

Sounds like you are the only Canadian with a build date (well ok, I have a build date, but June 14th doesn't sound too promising).

Except for these SS S/C's that are floating around GM Canada's website (that are all in 'transit') You could be the first in Canada with a SS S/C.

GMAC has some pretty progressive lease rates planned for the Cobalt. I know that the rebates are different for the Cobalt than they are for the Cobalt SS & SS/SC. So in that fashion, I doubt the lease rates for an SS/SC will be that great.

Residuals are set by the leasing company, whether it's GMAC or Chase or Wachovia or whoever. I know that GMAC updates their incentives at least once a month, and I believe that follows true for most banks and lenders.

But, the difference between a car bought in March and one bought in April should not vary that much, you're talking like 2-5%. But it is different with every bank/lender.

Hey B, hopefully they'll git-r-done for ya next week.

Hopefully mine will get built next week without any delays.
I know I can't wait to get my hands on it!!!!! I've been holding out on fixing some things on the Alero. It needs new front rotors pretty badly and could probably use a new set of tires.....
