Canadian Cobalt Pricing

Hey all,

Just got off the line with my local Chevy dealer, and he listed these as the MSRP's for the Cobalt (in Canadian funds, of course)

Base Coupe - $15,495
LS Coupe - $19,795
SS S/C - $24,995

I didn't get the prices for the 4-door, unfortunatly.

$24,995

What is that in U.S. funds?

I just saw two 04 GTO's now at $25,900 and $26,845 8O

That is awesome!! I leave the dealership a few days ago and I'm already outta the loop.

To give it some perspective and 04 SRT-4 was very close to $28,000 Canadian. Canadians actually save money by going with a more luxurious and "premium" sport compact.

Seems weird, in the US isn't the Cobalt more then the SRT-4

$19,258.45 USD using the current exchange rate. But auto companies don't change there prices based on a daily changing rate.

Now if only that stupid ugly wing were not on the car and it had 17's--maybe the price could drop a few hundred more.......maybe one of those could be in my garage.

Alhtough now I wonder what a 2.4L SS would be? 21K? Of course Chevy would have to MAKE such a model

I'll answer my own question.

US

SRT-4 starts: $20,450

equip with Kicker/SRT Livin' Loud Sound System (too match Cobalt STOCK Pioneer system), add destination

SRT-4 w/options: $21,790

VS. Cobalt (w/ destination) : $22,540

Canada

SRT-4 starts: $27,080
SRT-4 w/options: $29,055

VS.

Cobalt: $24,995
plus destination ($900)

Cobalt w/ destination: $25,895
