Cant Decide Which Tires!!!

I am in desperate need for new tires. Mine are too bald to be driving in the summer especially with street racing going on all the time. I have it narrowed down to four tires. Cooper Zeon RS3-S, Continental Extreme Contract DWS, Bridgestone Potenza, and the Toyo Proxes 4 Plus. They are all around the same price range ($700-$800) for all four out the door. I need help as to which ones are the best "bang for your buck". I want all season tires so I do not have to keep switching between winter and summer tires. Thanks

I don't have any experience with any of those choices, and I understand the hassle of switching tires, but before you make a final decision realize that all season tires are always a compromise. I don't know what you're driving, but please realize that an A/S tire is not a great summer tire and not a great cold weather/snow tire. They are just OK year round.
I realize there's the expense of a second set of wheels and the investment in a second set of tires but bear in mind they will only wear half as fast.

I work at Discount Tire..

Id recommend either the DWS or Potenza they are both really good tires. Id steer clear from the Toyos (im a little biased), and I dont have any experience with the other ones. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask any questions

I have a 2009 ss/tc and I didn't find any firestone tires at any nearby shops that fit my car. I understand that all season tires take the most out of summer and winter but I don't really want for fork out 1600 for two set of tires

This may help. Though some of the older reviewed tires aren't made any more. Most have a new version out.

Get the dws I've been happy with them, but a little hard so the treadlife has shortened. The ko4 with a nice spike breaks them free often

Cooper Zeon RS3-S - good budget SUMMER ONLY tire
Continental Extreme Contract DWS - one of the best ALL SEASON tires on the market right now
Bridgestone Potenza - depends on the model # of the tire, quality can vary
Toyo Proxes 4 Plus - ALL SEASON tire and hated them when I had them.

also, stop street racing you ****** moron, before you get someone killed

Thanks for the input guys. I ended up going with a newer version of the continental contact dws. I got continental control contract sport a/s tires with lifetime warranty for $780. So far driving with them on is a huge difference from what I had. It is a very smooth and quiet ride.

All season tires don't really work in the snow- they just work at low temperatures.

I agree that the NT05 is an awesome summer tire. I'm on my third set and will continue to run these in the summer for the street.
Having said that, they don't do very well in heavy rain- although they have impressive grip on roads that are just wet (provided the temperature is not too low).
They are down right dangerous in the snow however, just like most summer high performance tires.

So what about Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ??

These are used on some of the best performance cars on the planet like Corvettes and BMW M3??

Since I am a newb here is there some reason you guys are not using them?

867 out the door ...at discount tire...

Some facts:

"For OE fitment to its new M3 Coupe, BMW has chosen Michelin's Pilot Sport tire. The new M3 has a 414bhp V-8 engine and is promoted by BMW M GmbH as a racecar tire for daily use. It can be deduced that Michelin selects its ultimate sports tire, developed in consonance with engineers from BMW M, as a rational option."

I have experience with all of the tires you listed and I think you picked the best one out of those option.

Enjoy and be sure to rotate every oil change and get a proper alignment.

Buy another set of wheels for winter so you don't have to keep switching tires and can get some NT05s for summer
