Oh I know, I wasn't dissing it. The G8 GT auto is a pretty solid transmission. What I was saying is that I'm worried that I'll be a little disappointed with the driving experience, not being able to slam through the gears and have the feel for the car that you would get with a manual. I can't really say though, as I've never driven an automatic performance vehicle before. The G8 interior and overall is just a better car though, and a 6.0 sedan? That's really something to think about, they just look so damn nice. Although I could sink some of that cash into the 'balt.. Sitting at ~400 whp give or take... Could bump that to a more reliable ~450whp with more to go...

lol yea i know what u mean. and yea, they do look good, i wouldnt mind owning a G8, i would probably want a CTSV though as a sedan. and yea, exactly what you said, while maintaining good gas mileage still lol. however, bolt ons, cam, tune and a G8 GT would be killer, still a good race. i mean gas isnt horrible with them for a V8. guess it more so comes down to if you want payments again lol.

I would say GTO if you really want to get rid of the balt, I've wanted a GTO for a long time but I couldn't get one because of the Michigan winters

On the street a stick is better in a performance car, auto takes away a lot of the fun IMO. Unless dragging or commuting in traffic is its primary use I don't think it's worth giving up the manual. What year nova?

I'm referring to street as on public road ways. I agreed with you that autos are better for drag in my last post, I know a couple people that swapped to autos and dropped a good amount of time. Couldn't see the sig posting from the mobile app.
