Question Which car to choose?

Hey guys,

I've been thinking a lot lately about getting rid of the balt...

For more detailed information, look at this thread:

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l...needed-298665/

Option 1: Keep the Turbo LSJ, and mod this bitch more

Option 2: Get a GTO

Option 3: Get a G8 GT

Option 4: Get something else, like smart car or something...

ONLY reason I'm hesitant on the G8 is that it's auto... The GXP is a little too pricey.

Let me know what ya'll think, thanks!

If I could pick up a GXP, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Problem is that the closest one for sale, that I've found at least, is in Michigan, and it's about 35k. Which isn't too bad, but I'd have to sell this car, and with what I have saved up, I'd have to take out a 15k loan. GTO I could buy outright, and keeping the balt would be no payment either, as I have it paid off.

Try ordering them. Despite the fact it would cost a few grand, the parts are on a huge back order.

To me, If I had the money, i would say **** the G8 GT and go with the G8 GXP, but if money was an issue but had a good paying job and had a weekend warrior, the GTO would be fun to mod.. But in my situation, Gas is only going to get more expensive, and I go back and forth from Chicago and Moline, which is about 2.5 hours.

You can make those G8 GTs pretty quick even with auto. Got a friend with one that runs low 12s. Plus auto s are a little easier to launch.

What sort of price range are we talking?

I'd probably get a 335i RWD.

I'm trying to keep it relatively low, as the balt is paid off, and I have another 4-6k on top of that. I don't mind financing a little.

No BMW though, I'd like to stay with American Made.

Honestly, if there was a G8 GXP closer to me, hell one within 500 miles that wasn't 40 grand I'd get it in a heartbeat, but there is not unfortunately.

The ONLY reason I am hesitant on a G8 GT is that they're automatic. I am not sure if I would like that after only having manuals for the past 5 years.

To be honest, I'm actually a little surprised that keeping the 'balt is winning in the pole right now haha

because of the reasons i listed lol. i bet a lot of people would agree with that. but you cant diss the automatic man. after all, they are the best for drag racing hands down. thats why i have an auto in my nova.
