I would go new. A car that has been modded that much you can almost assume/gurantee has been drivin' hard and WILL have problems that come with it. New you know what is done when and where.

So there it is then, get the gsx. It'll be much faster than a stock ss/tc and when the power goes up you'll still be able to put it down. As far as things breaking on modded cars, it happens. What's the saying you have to pay to play. Also I have an 03 z06 and an 09 ss/tc. I love both cars but if I could only have one it would be the vette hands down. Hope this helps with your decision.

Well i'd go with the SS/TC. AWD don't mean **** i seen the TC beat a Evo where i live. AWD is good for launch's but weights a ton. I say part out your car for a down payment and get the TC. lol i call dibs on the strut bar if you do get a new car.

Why do that? Why spend $16k on a build that is only going to get you into the 12s? Buy the new Cobalt or build something nicer. If you had $16k for a build you wouldn't need a loan. But remember you live in Cali, Cops and car thefts. You will have to watch your GSX like a Hawk and no insurnace company is going to give you $16k back...ouch

when i get a lil older i wanna get a supra, evo, or a gsx, supra isnt gunna happen lol so it leaves me to evo or gsx........... then of course i can throw up the idea of a 00 trans am ws6, but **** i gotta few years to think

Someone earlier in here said a 500 hp Tc will only run 12s...

Well with 500 Hp and not suspension mods yes but if you put as much money into as you do your engine you will run in the 10s...

It doesnt matter if its FWD or not 500 hp gets up and goes.

And the only car that is decent that has a Mitsubishi badge is the Evo. Older eclipses like the GSX are nice and look sweet but they get problems too much. If you want 1 do it yourself dont buy a used built GSX. Go out and buy an engine from an Evo drop it in and be pushing like 300 hp already.

is this really a decision? 16k for a 95' eclipse? like...really? Are you truly considering dropping that much coin on a 13-year old car that certainly isnt that great.

Not to mention; Where the **** is the fun in buying a car already modded? A track time is only a number, please, anyone can do that, its about your own time and sweat to reach that point.

go gsx. First off, if you DONT even mod the ss/tc it will cost more. So any modding will cost even more (dont to the ss/tc). Also, modding the ss/tc will void you warranty (you know this already) so part of the reason you bought the tc will be gone. if you arent going to mod the tc then get it. but i would go eclipse. and get a civic with a ebay turbo kit for a DD. hahah
