This car has major issues going on. From Cheesy cheap ass
seating material that in mine, ever seat the material is
feathering/ No my rotor in the front on the car
have to be replaced after 17K because they warped.
Wipers are having issues. Calling the Stereo a upgraded on
but it has no EQ in it other than Bass and Treble (does
anyone know of aftermarket units that can still be controlled

has ass!) Are you Fricking Kidding me. Chevy is big time paying
for this. Let alone my Dealer is fricking worthless (it's been
2 months and still no new seat material and they are having
me drive this car and the whole front end shakes like hell

Don't buy a Cobalt from Anderson Chevrolet in Maryland.
They must of got all the LEMONS!and this is my 2nd car from them.
The last one was a Cavy that was the GREAT! Made it to 280K miles
with the original exhaust and battery. And the interior was road
worthy. Never had warped rotors....Chevy need a recall to give
everyone an interior worth $19K. That what my sedan LS cost
me when it's all said and done.

Oh and yesterday we got rain and guess what???, I have a leak
in the rear passenger door because the floor was wet and
killed a couple CD's on the floor. Nice huh?

I can't believe no one else has issues? You've got to
be kidding me people or you're just not watching your
car fall apart around you.
So far I'm totally disappointed with this car. It looks good
on the outside, but the inside is per plastic cheap junk.

I'd love to take all the chevy emblems off the car. Does
anyone know how to remove them?

I have 3800 miles on my Cobalt and just got it out of the shop for the 7th time.

1st time in March was because the AC was overcharged at the factory. They fixed that in no time.

2nd time in May. The check engine light was coming on and my stereo system was reading "LOCKED" supposedly because of the anti theft system that I don't have on my car. They installed wiring jumper at cooent fan & replaced the presser switch. Also replaced radio.

3rd time in May. There was a recall for the A/C wiring and air bag.

4th time in June. Radio reading "LOCKED" again. Steering wheel was making a noise when I turned to the left. Car was hesitating when I pulled out in traffic. Intermittant problems so they couldn't find anything. They did re-program the radio.

5th time in July. My car flooded on the driver's side and the A/C was pouring water into the passenger side. Turns out the evaporator pan had split at the seam and they had to re-seal that. My brake light kept flashing on while driving down the road. They couldn't duplicate that problem so couldn't do anything.

6th time in July. Radio now reading "ERR". So they replaced it again. Water still leaking into the car so they had to re-seal the roof ditch molding.

7th time in July. Radio reading "ERR" again. Replaced radio AGAIN!!!! Brake light still coming on while driving. They said it was caused by internal software problem w/programing ti I.C.P. Whatever that is. So they reprogramed that.

I have now had it out of the shop for 12 hours and just biding my time until the next thing goes wrong. In Florida, if your new car is in the shop 15 cumulative days you can start the Lemon Law process. Yesterday was day 16. My paperwork is filled out and ready to be mailed. Just waiting for the next thing to happen.

update: I filed the Lemon Law on mine on 8/1/05. Car is now losing power while I'm driving down the road. The "door ajar" warning light doesn't come on when the door is ajar. I found that out after having my grandson in the back seat and driving around with the door not completely closed. Of course he was seat belted in but the point is---it should have warned me.

I can't wait to be rid of this lemon. And no, the lemons were not all sold in VA. We have quit a few in Florida, too.

What happened to the CD's to ruin them? I have had many cd's get wet for whatever reason and as long as they are dry before you try to play them they should be fine.
