That would have been Detroit Auto Show. Though they could decide to do the unveiling at any major auto show in North America. But the only 2 others to see are Chicago and Los Angeles. So far GM at Chicago for chevy is just unveiling the 2008 Malibu....

Well actually, I heard that in Detroit they showed off the new replacement for the Impala, and in Chicago they are showing off the new Malibu, but the best thing is that I heard rumors floating around that the Cobalt was Cleveland's exclusive. I'm stoked, and I'll defiently be there, if anybody wants pictures, let me know.

Bah! Why don't we ever have any good car shows in Canada? Just because Americans have 230 million more people than we do is not a good reason. I should start my own international car show. Right here in Moosomin!

Blown 4-banger and I spoke to the guys at the GMPP booth at the World of Wheels. They said '08 there will be no stock boosted Cobalt, supercharged or turboed. 2009 will mark the release the new Cobalt as well as the introduction of the LNF to the Delta platform (hint, hint).

Now im kinda upset. Im gettin a car this summer and was hopin for an updated engine with any kind of boost but looks like the 07 will be good enough. Anybody know when i can expect 0% APR to come?

With interest rates going up, rather than down, unless something happens in 6 months, 0% is unlikely.
GM is pressing to reduce incentives, and try to get sales prices closer to sticker. Previously, they would have stickers out of alignment with competition, but offer big incentives. Problem was, customers would look at the sticker only, and think they could get a competitors car for less than or equal to GM...

Actually most of the time they offer a cash incentive with a fixed APR or a 0% APR with out the incentive. The incentive usually makes up for the financing if applied to the down payment. The advantage is that if you should come across extra money, you can put it towards the principle of your loan. If you have 0% it only reduces the number of payments, you still pay the same amount in the end. With the fixed APR it will actually knock the interest off the amount that you paid early, meaning you pay less in the end.

there will be no turbo balts. yes maybe a turbo HHR but thats all. they wudnt have minor changes in the 07 and call it that. at least they had the 05 and 06 similar...07 and 08 similar..then yes 09 thats a different story..but they in 09..new camaro...thats a whole different story...LS9 Supercharged...yep thats a lot of power.

Is interest calculated yearly or only once? Cuz if its jus 6% once, then thats not a lot of money compared to a rebate. Right now i have almost $7500 saved up. I really want this car now and it says on the website that theres a $500 cash allowance or a 5.9% APR plus my 2k in GM card $$$. Do you think I can find a good deal now cuz i guess i could try to negotiate the price a lil. I REALLY WANT THIS CAR but i aint gonna jus give away my money. I was gonna wait for the 08s but their aint gonna be much changes right (no updated engine )? Any advice would be great...thanks

That should be compounded over the length of the loan. You should really talk to the finance department and see what your credit is capable of getting you. They offer those APR's but that is only if you have perfect credit and a good income to debt ratio. Make your calculations after that.
I dont think that credit is the problem...

If I were you I would just buy the car now. you have plenty for a down paymnet and you can definitly try to haggle the price too. I haggled with my dealer and got my 2007 2.4 ss ordered for $800 off the sticker. And then when I picked it up I got another 500 in cash back so I got my car for like 18,700 and the sticker is 20,000. I also had a $4800 down payment which helped in the financing.
back to the car: It seams like chevy is really ramping up the cobalt just in time for the debute of the new camaro. They probably have a 'trickle down' strategy figured out.
