Door Panel?

The part that holds the window switches in the door panel, does anyone know how that comes out? There looks like there's a little clip thing down in that little pocket that can be pushed. I pushed on it and tryed to pry the switch panel out but looks like something is holding it. My goal here is to remove the cloth section and replace the cloth.

I played with this thing too... I took my car in to get the window repaired under warranty, and I think they didn't tighten the screws in the door handle all the way because it has some wiggle to it, and it doesnt cover up the cut out portion of the vinyl any more. I couldn't get it out either... I pryed on it with a screw driver but it looked like it was about to break so I gave up.

Not to ruin your day but is it possible that you're seeing the same issue with your passenger door handle as most people are? A LOT of people have had to have their passenger door panel replaced or reupholstered (the route I took) because the vinyl was cut too short and pulls away from the door handle. If this is the case take it into your service department and have it fixed under warranty. I BELIEVE GM has finally acknowledged the problem and are fixing up the door panels for '06 but if they haven't I'd recommend trying the reupholstered route first before replacing the whole door panel since chances are you'll end up with the same problem with the new one.

Sorry didn't mean to jack the thread just thought I should let him know about the problem in case it needs to be fixed .

It's the part where the power door locks and window switches are, the vinyl under that is cut too short. Also that whole assembly is wiggly so I want to look at it to see if they didn't screw it down...

Yeah, I have the same prob. with the passenger side panel on mine as well.... it will be interesting to see what the dealer has to say when I take it in this weekend. Also, my driver side reverse light is set at a wierd angle... I'm gonna see if they can fix that too.

Anyone that is having a problem with the door panel pulling away from around the switch/handle, Yes, GM is aware of this, BUT, they do NOT have a fix for it as of now. Taking the vehicle now will not help. A new panel will not fix the problem. There is a bulletin about this that the Dealer can look up.
When a fix for this problem comes out I will try to notify everyone with a thead.

I have the same problem with my leather under cut around the window bezel, i tried to fix myself but no luck have an app with the dealer later this month, to replace the door panel. About taking the window bezel out that little clip in the bottom pull towards the centre of the handle and with a tiny flat blade screw driver pry it up around the outer edge, it is tough though, so be careful or you will break off the little clip like i did, oops, did i say that. now take out the two screws and the bezel should come out, but there are pressure clips on it and a tab at the front towards the dash.

Unhappy Poor quality door panel cloth

I have an '06 with the black cloth.the cloth is cut too big for the panel cup and there is a bubble behind the cup about 4 inches or so where it looks like the adhesive is not tacking it.
