Car stalls on cold start?

Ever since i installed my intake around 7000miles ago, my car would, once in a while on a cold start, rev to about 1500rpms and go down to 500rpms and back up again a few times hen it would stop it would just go to 0rpms and i guess stall so i just shut the car off, turn it on again and it would be fine (fyi, i have an automatic)...i knew it wast normal but its been happening more often lately so id wanna see if anyone has any ideas how to go about fixing it. Im putting my exhaust on tomorrow morning so ill ask the shop if they have any ideas as well.

Automatics don't stall...they just die. There's a problem with your fuel pump I would gather.

well i have had the CEL P0411 Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected which i had ever since my header installation which has to do with the fuel pump according to the mechanic but like i said this problem occured before the headers, after the intake which was my first mod it first started doing it.

they have nothing to do with each other actually. removing the SAI throws a couple codes, one of them being Secondary Air Injection System Pump Low Voltage, but thats regarding the SAI pump and has nothing to do with the fuel pump.

I've had my car stall a few times in really cold weather (usually below freezing), but I have a 07 SS/SC. Never heard of an automatic stalling..

Like you said it started when you put on the intake.
Check to see you didnt get crap in the throttle body ,or maybe even clean it of any residue that might be affecting the throttle plate from closing properly.
Also dont touch the accelerator when starting it .

can of throttle body cleaner and douse your intake. Sounds exactly like the intake issue most of us have, start the car and the rpm's jump from 500-1500 for a few seconds then level off.

Rough idle doesn't equal car dying. That's a fuel issue. The fact that you installed something doesn't mean something else didn't break coincidentally at the same time.

Besides...I've never heard of rough idle issues with anything other than an lsj (possibly lnf).

I mean you could just do a cold start and do 20-30% throttle in park and it probably won't stall could be a dying fuel pump or a "clog" in the hose anywhere from the tank to the filter to the pump to the injectors. More likely to happen when you don't use premium fuel all the time or at all.

If you use fuel injector cleaner/treatment it may stop but probably not.
