I lot of guys are wanting a "front LIP". Is that the same thing NASCAR calls a "splitter"? If it is I want one. I think it would be a fairly easy project and I would make it myself but would have to buy a minimum sheet size that could probably make 4 of them and wiould be WAY too expensive for just one. Then finding some correctly sized stainless turn buckles. I'm getting a woody just talking about it.

the tjin edition cobalt has a 1 piece wing like that made from stainless. i think only thier 3 cars have it. i doubt it would be possible to get them to make something like that for the community.

yeh but the carbon on would be easy-ish and fairly cheap to do. i think it would be a good clean mod for our cars imo

so how much is vendor status?

Everyone who is interested should think about chipping in to get him to be a vendor, and in return receiving a discount on their products for the advance support...

Or at least gather everyones emails and just stay in contact with the guy directly through "reply to all" emails.

As with anything the toughest thing in this venture is getting started. So if everyone wants parts, help him out.

I dont think anyone would take the money and run..... especially if 20 people chipped in.... I know I myself wouldn't enjoy 20 guys driving out to exact revenge on me... lol.

I'll be interested in this stuff in the near future (mid 2010) so, let me know if I can help somehow.

also, are you guys including steering wheel control covers in the interior trim package?

Hi Guys - just a heads up. I am over on the Lotus forums and this guys is a rip off...just don't want anyone else getting ripped off. Below is a bit of the background.

Nov 30th - asked Dave for a leadtime - 5 days to complete
Dec 1st - I mail him the part and a check (he doesn't take paypal)
Dec 7th - I email him to make sure it got there
Dec 8th - Dave replies it did and says he has the flu
Dec 10th - Dave cashes the check - must be feeling better I assume
Dec 13th - I ask how the part is coming
Dec 14th - Dave said he was starting my part today and I would have it back by Friday the 18th
Dec 20th - I email him - no part yet - whats going on?
Dec 20th - Dave says it didn't look good and he wanted to redo it - first time he has done an AC surround
Dec 27th - email him looking for an update
Dec 29th - Dave replies and says it will be done by Friday
Jan 7th - still no part
Jan 8th - Dave apparently crashes his motorcycle and can't work on it again
Jan 8th - I tell him the drop dead date is Jan 23rd
Jan 8th - Dave acknowledges and says no problem - I'll have it by then
Jan 19th - I emailed him to make sure it is in route to me
Jan 20th - he says he will over night it on Thursday so it is hear by the 22nd
Jan 22nd - STILL NO PART

So - it has been almost 2 months waiting for something that was supposed to take 5 days - do you think I am being unreasonable??

Now, I need to by a new part to replace the one I sent him, plus I am out of the money I sent him as well.

You still have the address to where you sent the check?

If so, find some member who live near him and send them over to either collect your money or get pics of your CF product.
