put the stock downpipe in for inspection, otherwise you fail.

i advise you do it yourself. should take a half hour if you take ur time. but if u must pay, id say 20 bucks for anybody to do it for you if its a shop.

I am amazed any shop would screw with the emission stuff considering the fine if they were caught.

I have heard of ppl getting P.O. boxes in counties that have no E checks to avoid them
Also if you have parents that live in a county that has no E checks but yours does you can keep your current address to your license there.
Be warned though that would be false information to the DMV & is a crime lol, just a few options I have heard of.................

In NYS any OBDII car being checked is only checked via CEL. If you have a MIL eliminator or something similar you will be fine as long as you throw a 20 dollar bill or so towards the technician. The rest would be visual and that can be bought.

I did that for years with my 2000 Mustang GT.

PA only checks the gas cap, and if you have any codes. My tune has the cat deleated, and my downpipe visually looks catted and functional, because well at one time it was a catted downpipe, haha.

Well I live WV, where our inspections consist of some greasy redneck coming out, making you flash your lights, and slapping a sticker on (usually crooked) so I just leave mine on and be happy haha

I have one last question before I buy my pipe, If I go with a catted one say, ZZP with high flow cat, do I need to change back to my stock for the inspection? or will this pass since I do have the cat?

Also, will I get the CEL with the zzp high flow? I will be getting a tune eventually, though. My biggest concern is passing inspection because I won't be doing the pipe myself and rather just keep one on and not touch.

Also the ZZP one is angled so I don't need vibrant defouler?

that's why it's good to keep the stock parts laying around,it should take you half hour to re-install it

it doesn't take that long to change it out especially if you have access to a lift where it would take like 5 minutes but i know in MD they just plug into the OBDII and you are on your way i have never seen them use the mirror on anybody at the inspection center i go to
