cavalier, ecotec and non ecotec???

I'm doing the ss/sc injector swap. I figured to post this here since its not relevent to only 2.4l engine balts.

My junkyard said they have a 2.2l injector harness. He asked me if I need it to be ecotec, cuz if i did he doesn't have any ecotecs.

What? I thought cavis only came in one 2.2l engine?! Am i wrong? if so then I'll go get this harness out of this 2.2.

Thanks guys/gals for your help.

depends on the model year and type... if it was a z24 its a 2.4 and if it was a base or Ls model it was a 2.2

There was a 2.2L GM engine before the Ecotec.... sheesh.

Ecotecs only came in the very last years of the cavy.

So what i get out of it is as long as this harness is coming from the 03-05 cavi it should be okay for me.

Now those bastards suddenly don't have a harness at all from those years.

My yards around here never want to sell small things, only engines trannys and fenders.

Geesh... now what.

15411879

I got it for 100 from my dealer

The older cavis were a pushrod 2.2 and the quad four is the 2.4 in the z24.

HAS TO BE ECO

beat me to it

I once helped build a friend's 2200 in his Sunfire up for a turbo kit. One of the best sleeper's on the market

The 2.2 he meant was the 2200 OHV. That motor is a dog, thank god for the ECOTec.
