cblt12 vs. dog

well i was cruising down the freeway last night at about 9:30 in the number 2 lane when a big ass german shepard jumped out infront of me from the fast lane! i did not want to swerve and hit another car, and it happened so fast that i coundnt do anything. i felt horrible for the dog, but what can you do. i heard pieces hanging off the cars, but i didnt want to stop on the freeway, because its just not safe. so i put my hazards on and made it off the freeway... well in my head i was picturing a smashed bumper around the fog light area and maybe a smashed headlight. well i got out of the car to see this...

i cracked both radiators, the ac condensor, the maf sensor snaped off the intake, and you can see the body damage... i am glad that i was not hurt, because it could have been much worse, but it sucks that this happend.

i actually still have the headlight but i took it off because it was just hanging there by the wires and just the housing to the headlight broke. so i will be able to take apart the headlight, take out the shroud and reflector, and put it in a new housing so i am very happy about that

weve tried calling animal control, cal-trans, and anyone we can think of to see if we can find out whos dog it was, but no luck yet. i mean it sucks for the dog but somebody should be responsible for this.

I bet you a million bucks the dog feels way worse about it then you do.

Sorry man I'm an animal lover too and I'd HATE to hit a dog like that. I seriously would be a wreck myself. I don't care what anyone says I'd be crying like a baby while running back to the dog in the road.

Reminds me of what NJHK said a few days ago. "All dogs go to heaven". But he said it in some perverted way that I cant remember.

wow thats pretty bad... what hood are you getting? i was thinking about the ss cf hood, but im not that big of a fan of cf... also the rk sport fiberglass hood looks like it should have came factory on our car, but it is just as much as a cf one so i couldnt see paying that much for it. im hoping to get a lil extra play money outta the insurance co. to have a lil fun w/
