How do you do it on a SS/SC and what is it?

are you talking an armrest like stock one that bolts in???
if it is i have installed one.
you have to take off the center console screws, move it out of the way, use 4 bolts to bolt down a support, take out your rear cupholders, bolt in the armrest assembly with 2 bolts, then snap in a new shortened cup holder peice

 

its an arm rest it bolts in i have i dont really care though its allways in the up postion

 

Just read it under someones mod's and thought "Arm rest in manual, life saver"

 

it is soooooo nice.
i got mine out of a totalled balt....
it makes ALL the difference in the world!!!
