Also check out the photo gallery, they added a bunch of images. Most notably the 16" and 18" wheels that are add-on chevy accesories!

Yes a modified cobalt can beat an srt4, once cars start to get modding anything can happen.
Little background on me, i've been on the street racing scene for well over 5 years, ive been photographer for tons of events and I live in Puerto Rico the home of the most ridiculous sleepers that you could imagine

secondly, if autoweak can grab a 94 mph trap in a redline at as slow as they were going with it then im sure that all the other people who are getting 14.5s are trappign higher already...

If I read one of the other threads right, I beleive it was said that someone dyno'd their stock RL at 209 to the wheels? If so, that puts the crank horsepower at ~260. Although I dought the Cobalt SS or RL is that underrated, I would assume that the actuall HP is around ~230. On a 2800 lb car, that should be in the area of 14.5's easy (with a good driver). Now, if the Cobalt SS responds simular to the Grand Prix GTP, going down just one size in pully's would gain around another 20-25HP and the same in torque. Just by that one simple mod, the Cobalt will be next to the SRT-4 (stock).

(would be nice if GM got in the game, but they may be waiting for the cobalt to come out before they bring out the big guns.)

To let you guys know the SRT-4 was tested with a professional Stock Car racer, also on perfect weather and a pertty good track, im not beating on the SRT-4 my buddy just got a red one but it doesn't run those times in a 1/4 mile, unless we all are professional drivers.. Its all about how you drive your car, Can u drive stick rite is the Question
