Hmm I wonder how I cancel my order. It's like waiting for your flight at the airport. The flight is always on time till there is like 5 minutes left till it's late and then it gets delayed for like 4 hours.

I got the flash movie but all I saw was three cobalts racing, one of each model, unless im not seeing the correct video

and to be honest I doubt that the cobalt can keep up with the srt-4, those things can reach 12second 1/4 mile extremely easy. Dont get me wrong, I love how the cobalt is shaping up, but for small engines a turbo is a lot better than a supercharger

Umm if you're talking about the same video that Jonel posted in the link just above your post, it's a red SS/SC, a blue LS? coupe and the car that you thought was a neon is actually the Cobalt sedan.........

Also check out the photo gallery, they added a bunch of images. Most notably the 16" and 18" wheels that are add-on chevy accesories!

Stage 2 SRT4's are hitting 107+ Trap Speeds in the quarter mile. Colbalt has no shot.

Talking nopi xbox challenge

those of you who still insist that the ecotec has little potential( srt4 lovers) the saturn ecotec was the winner of the nopi xbox challenge last summer with 1100hp at the crank and 7 sec 1/4 mile. yes that is a turbo charged ecotec srt boy just remember this next time you pull up beside a chevy four banger!

OH I never once denied that the cobalt has potential, but look at what you just wrote, the TURBO ecotec won, and trust me that turbo car had quite a bit of money invested in it.

Just in case I repeat, I LOVE the cobalt, or else I wouldn't be writing here, but I accept the reality that is simply for a four banger a turbo provides a lot more potential than a supercharger, and already the srt-4 has 40hp and 1/2 a second ahead of the ss. Yes a modified cobalt can beat an srt4, once cars start to get modding anything can happen.

Little background on me, i've been on the street racing scene for well over 5 years, ive been photographer for tons of events and I live in Puerto Rico the home of the most ridiculous sleepers that you could imagine

well um, first off, that IS a stage 2 SRT4...im sure once the aftermarket or GM performance gets cranking on these things, cobalts will be right there beside them

secondly, if autoweak can grab a 94 mph trap in a redline at as slow as they were going with it then im sure that all the other people who are getting 14.5s are trappign higher already...

Unhappy Cobalt SS S/C for Québec, Canada

In Québec, Canada...The Cobalt SS S/C will not be in showrooms before the beginning of March, with chance at the end of februrary, that my dealer news. I don't know if it's the same thing for all the Canada.

Sorry for my english, I'm french guy - Waterproof -

If I read one of the other threads right, I beleive it was said that someone dyno'd their stock RL at 209 to the wheels? If so, that puts the crank horsepower at ~260. Although I dought the Cobalt SS or RL is that underrated, I would assume that the actuall HP is around ~230. On a 2800 lb car, that should be in the area of 14.5's easy (with a good driver). Now, if the Cobalt SS responds simular to the Grand Prix GTP, going down just one size in pully's would gain around another 20-25HP and the same in torque. Just by that one simple mod, the Cobalt will be next to the SRT-4 (stock).

Just my $0.02

even before that, the exhaust seems to be very restrictive, expecially the exhaust manifold, so a header alone should put it into the SRT-4 range, think 205 at the wheels, with a guaranteed 10% increase in power comes out to ~225, upgrade the exhaust to match the 2.5inch exit of the header, straight through header, better intake, then start to change pulleys, etc. the increase in flow, with a smaller pulley would probobly create less heat than changing the pulley before increasing airflow, yeilding even more of an increase in power, throw in some proper tuning to the mix, and you've got yourself a fun car. i just cannot wait for the aftermarket to bloom for these motors, especially once the cobalt comes out! (would be nice if GM got in the game, but they may be waiting for the cobalt to come out before they bring out the big guns.)

I agree with you every step of the way. I can't wait for the SS to start showing up so the aftermarket can continue growing to tune up the delta twins.

there isn't one, it's just 3 models of the cobalt in a "simulated" closed road course. basically it's a computer generated video anyways
