According to my dealer the SS/SC is on constraint, meaning new orders aren't being accepted. Be careful about what your dealership is telling you. If they say they are taking a new order now and you will have your car in 2 weeks, they are full of it.

I ordered early in October and have yet to get a build date for my car (although it was accepted into production last Wednesday).

Yeah I was thinkin the same thing, there way too confident about 2-4 weeks. I pre-ordered almost around 2 1/2 weeks ago and am worried ive got a long wait ahead.

You will not get a build date, just acceptance into production and shippment date, Chevy no longer gives build dates to cars. So good news for you, being accepted means your car would have been built anywhere from a week to 2 weeks from the date of acceptance.

dunno

Well i hope the dealership isn't feeding me a line, all i know is they said they have one that will be there for sure 2-4 weeks, as for the one he's ordering me, i thought he said the same, but i could be wrong, but for sure the other is 2-4 weeks away, i've talked to several dealerships around my area and all have SS/SC coming in the first couple weeks of march

what the dealerships aer telling you could be true. but most of the ss/sc that they are refering to are probably cars that were ordered a long time ago, or cars that will be showroom cars. Many dealerships around canada and the usa are getting very frusterated with the delivery date of this car, thus leading them to tell their customers lies so they can keep that customer when that particular car comes.

I'm like RedSS, ordered Oct 29. Still don't have an acceptance from the factory, But I have the G85 package. I have a feeling I'll be lucky to have mine by April, since the seats were sent back to the manufacturer. But last Wensday several people got acceptance by the factory for there SS/sc that they ordered back in September and October.

Just waiting for my parts to show up at the factory

I just got my build date today. March 7th. Monday is order day at my dealer, and the computer accepted mine (finally) today. I'm getting an LS that was on constraint for the side curtain airbags. With that build date, I expect to actually get the car on March 21.

I'm wondering.......

If I'll hear anything from my dealer this weak..... Because so far I haven't heard anyyytthhhiinnggg.... And I didn't order anything special... LS with the Sport Package, stock am/fm/cd radio.. Front air bags====only Blue outside, black inside...

Hmmmmm reading all this is making me very frustrated.. Especially when I see dealers around me getting the Coupes in.. but all being Auto's.. without the 1SB package!!...

my dealer kept feeding me that 2-4 weeks stuff since november. i dont think he knows anything, so i gave up and got a different car. my dad gave me his '03 mustang mach 1, that is in perfect condition. its a very nice car, and im sick of hearing 2-4 weeks from my dealer. i canceled my order the other day.

Lightbulb Like I've said before....

YOU GUYS HAVE WAITED SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LONG...... and NOW you are going to give up!!??????????????????????????

It's like you are just going to thro that all out... You have invested a lot of time and energy... Whats an other Month or 2 or even 3... You're going to tell me that's a long time when you HAVE ALREADDDYYY WAITED FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS!..

C'mon guys... you are 98% there.. It's stupid in my eyes to give up now, so late in the game.!!! <<---( just my opinion )

[[[ you will probably kick your selfs in the ass in the future if you give up now! ]]]

I'm actually waiting very patiently for my cobalt SS/SC. I will have a negative trade in value so any amount of time I wait is just more money that I am able to come up with to reduce the negative value. While I really dont want to wait till august or June if I have to its not a really big deal. I will still keep my order and wait.
