Cleaning Engine Bay

With it gettin warmer out, (kinda) i'v been wanting to clean my car up really well when spring hits. My engine bay is probably the dirtiest thing on my car. Was just wondering if there are any special products or precautions I should get/know about for cleaning it up.

LOL, I was being a dick and saying don't spray it inside the engine, inside the bay is fine if you do not have a CAI or SRI, use low presure water and engine degreaser, do only on a cool engine as to not cause rapid cooling issues.

^^^ Ya, that works just fine as long as you don't have too much dirt on anything. I think this is more for heavy dirt. But ya, as long as you don't have way too much dirt, some armor all wipes and a powerball work wonders.

Sound like some grease/oil. Dry some dawn dish soap in hot water.

I mist the engine bay before i wash the car, spray it all down with simple green. Close the hood, wash the car, then come back and use a toothbrush or something to agitate it, then spray it off.

I like the lack of struts in the picture. I've seen very few of your car where something isn't taken apart. Engine bay looks great though I'll have to try this.

Haha, yeah, that's just how it sits right now. The white splatters near the headlight are just wax/polish from when Stu corrected the paint. I hadn't gone back and found all of them yet haha. **** gets everywhere.

Why is your coolant overflow on the pass side? mines on the driver side....

Option B.
I honestly thought about PC'ing the spare transmission i have a "polished" color. Meh.

If i come across a dirt cheap block, i'll snag it up. I think one day i'll build a motor with forged pistons. That one will be fully powdercoated before it goes in.

Wire tuck will happen one of these days.

I think you should go for it. It would definitely be original. I wish that I could do a nice wire tuck to my cobalt but it's my daily right now so that's not happening to soon.
