My mechanic works at a chevy dealer and says he's already worked on 4 cobalt rack and pinions. Something's wrong there he suggested getting everything looked at before warranty expires. Might be a recall not sure but I've heard rumors. My car seems fine but I have heard this before.

Its the "intermediat Shaft" <---- something like that.. Sorry for the spelling.. typing to fast..... It's an easy part to fix... Acctually it needs to be replaced.. I had to wait like two weeks for the part to come in... It was on back order..... No big deal.. but may happen again....

I hear a "clunk pop" noise, but not in the front. It sounds like its in the back passenger side. Somewhere in the wheel. I only hear it though when im goin to work. When im pulling into the parking lot, where the road meets the parking lot at an angle. Its the only time I hear it. My drive way is the same way, not so much of an incline though and it doesnt make the sound. I gotta call the dealer and get em to look at it

Canada Becoming to familiar with my dealer

Thank god I am no the only one. I was searching thru these forums and came across this suspension concern. I have the same problem. I m just going to print out the tsb report for the '06 SS and bring it to my dealer and tell them to check everything. Mostly because there are a few things on that list that are directly applying to me. Have already had the rotors machines twice, new pads and the rotors are starting to groove again, new driver door arm rest replaced do to poor fitting and squeaks, new internal door handle but still flimsly( needs new cable), clunky 5sp shifter to be replaced in October, passenger seat bolster material is frayed( looks like it's 4 years old), new sunroof squeak, daytime running lights have a mind of their own as well as backlit dash lights are sparatic during different times of the day and emergency brake has been tightened once already and is barely holding again. OH, BY THE WAY, DID I MENTION THAT I HAVE ONLY 9255 KM ON THIS CAR!!!!!!!
BRUTAL.

Also, I have to spend 15 min. trying to fill up my gas tank because the gas keeps coming up to fast and shutting off the pump. Annoying. Anyone have this problem. I think I read something on the tsb list. Vapour vent problem maybe?
