VVT can also offer a broader torque and hp curve than OHC engine.
Tuning is supposedly much, much more complex.. but shouldn't be that big of a jump from the LE5 or LNF.
Will be direct injection too, correct? I'd expect to see much smaller (1.6L) turbo engines from all American manufacturers in the next couple of years... btw - anybody know who GM has their contract for turbos with? Honeywell/Garrett? May not be a bad investment..

dont confuse vvt with vtec, they are 2 entirly different things. vvt uses a cam phaser and continualy changes the cam timing to help with efficiency. vtec is 2 different cam profiles ground on the same cams, and at a certain rpm the pcm will comand a solonoid and it locks in another set of rockers and changes from the profile that favores low end torque to a profile that will make more power at high rpm.
the 2.2l vvt comes to take the place of the previous 2.2l and 2.4l, as 08 was the last year for the 2.4l vvt.
