Cobalt, a girls car?
Girl car Guy car who gives a sh*t... i get alot of good comments when i bring my car to the track and auto-x it (shhh keep it a secret girls and guys do that too......shhhhh). and as for the lady with the black and pink balt thats very clean and tasteful.... great job
OKay let me clear something up, the chicks in my school who have them dont know jack **** about cars they just bought this car because it was "cute and girly" if they were all into cars and on these forums and whatnot that would be hot, but there not so its gay...
So all in all their cars are bone stock, so I when i cruise by I pump my **** up and not only make my Balt rattle to hell, but theirs as well

theres one 50yr old ladie that drives a black ss/sc...never speeds nothing...perfect driver.
theres quite a few balts runnin around this area....but ive been seriously debating on gettin rid of the balt...

there's like five around where i live. this old guy who drives a gold one, another dude who drives a orange ss sedan, me with my orange ss sedan, this chick with a two door lt, and a red ss/sc. Oh and theres a white lt sedan by my house, its pretty sick. i don't know who drives it though like guy/girl. so i guess there's six and mostly guys drive them. but i don't care either way.
There's this very old woman who lives by my high school. shes at least seventy, and she drives an impreza WRX. and there's lots of girls who drive mustangs where i live.

gurls cant handle the s/c ... "ohh i dont like that sound... it scares me!"
I saw an older man in a black ss/sc, and I see women in Supra's more than anything. Tehre are only two cars I can honestly say are "girl" cars. The VW Cabrio (have never seen a guy in one) and the VW Beetle witht he flowers. The nex MX-5 miatas are more masculine, and I mostly always see girls in Scion tC's, Civics, and most of all, the 2000-2004-5 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Out of 20 people I would only see ONE guy driving it.
Bottomline is, Cobalt is a neutral car, don't care if I see girls driving it, I like mine because I bought it, and I like it.
The female owners here are going to castrate you for saying that.

But i do notice anything under the ss/sc is all kinds of people driving it...haven't seen any girls out my way with the ss/sc other than me
I got my LS because I didn't want a s/c. I want to build the car the way I want it so I bought it stock. Now I just have to wait for tuning for the turbo. But in the meantime I am upgrading internals.
Cobalt + Girls around here who drive them = Ugly
But yeah, okay we drive a chick car, lets all rejoice lol
WOOT!
GIRL CAR FTW!!!!
i think the girls that buy the ss/sc and treat it like just another car is just stupid. there are a couple out here in so-cal that i have seen driving them. but if they know how to drive it and are passionate about their balt like most of us i have to say it is friggin hot!
i too see more girls driving cobalts her in socal. i dont really care though. i never see any ss/sc though. i think ive seen like two in the past 6 months. everyone drives the base model with the big wing.
Absolutely nothing.
Last time I checked, mine was.
LOL, yes but I think I ruined that for my boyfriend. He drove my SS while his was in the shop. I think it made him a little insecure cause suddenly he was driving a chick's car and came to realize he drove the exact same car, LOL.
You know it's officially a chick car when most car people refer to that particular model as the "bitch basket"....
The funny thing is, in my family there was never a division between the men and the women when it came to cars. My mom and grandma both had fast Mustangs and my grandma was actually the first person to break the 100mph mark in my SS
. All the girls in my family that are old enough to drive also know how to work on our own cars. The project of choice for either this summer or next is supercharging my cousin's Vibe.
I never even really knew how vast the devide was between women and men until I got my SS. It just seemed odd to me that people would find it weird for a woman to be driving a "sporty" car, especially a manual.
My friend's mom actually has a TT Supra...
LOL I hear that. I worked some REALLY bad jobs just to pay for the car sitting in my garage. But it was 100% worth it.

I will agree with that. Every girl I have seen driving one of the SS/SC's has been hot.

I was never saying that girls could not drive in anyway, but just defending that my car is not a chick car. As far as you grandma being the first to break 100mph in your car this does not impress me. I break this on daily basis. Come talk to me when you have bounced of the speed governer at 158mph. That takes *****, and this is something I have done more than once. When your grandma or even you does that then I will be impressed.
I don't think anyone, aside from the original poster suggested that the Cobalt was a "chick" car and besides I don't see why it matters so long as you like your own car.
Didn't realize it was a contest to impress people. Never hit the 158mph...mostly cause the car's aerodynamically limited around 145mph without a shitload of mods, which for my racing needs are COMPLETELY uneccesary and would hurt more than help. I HAVE topped the car on the front stretch of a road course before and had the car sideways SEVERAL times without losing it.

all the girls i see that drive ss/sc or redlines dont know how to drive but thats just the once i've seen. grinding gears and not trying to go fast is my proof. but w/e girls can drive them if they want and im not trying to make them look bad just what i've seen and heard (grind grind).
In every car I have had I have proved myself to be able to keep up with "the boys." I will race any guy in an SS/SC any day and I guarantee I'll be off the line quicker or as quick as any. I have been driving cars and trucks since before I could reach the pedals.
Despite what you may have seen, there are girls out there that know what they are doing. I never grind gears, not once in a year and a half in my SS/SC.
I also have a good laugh when I am reading these forums at some of the questions GUYS have about the cars, or cars in general. Things i have known for 10 years. I know more guys that **** up their cars thinking they know what they are doing or "being cool" than girls by far.
If you don't believe any of this, I would GLADLY accept a challenge from any guy out there anytime

I've seen hot chicks driving LS's before, but I have also seen old ladies driving too. I guess it means you have a 50/50 chance.

If you are ever in Vegas look me up, it would be fun. Not saying I am better than you, but always up for a challenge. Just be ready to put down some money, gambling is legal here.
