Cobalt SS as Everyday Driver

Hey,
I live in northern Maine. The snow season can be from November to mid-April. We have a good amount of snow and the roads are rarely free of it during winter. The roads are also pretty bumpy in places. In my daily commute I have to pass over two sets of trail tracks each way and they can hit hard. The frost heaves also get pretty large at certain times of the year. The public service guys also dump a lot of road salt to melt snow. Summers are fine though. Anyway, would a Cobalt SS supercharged have any major problems for this type of driving year round in you opinion? I think it would be fine personally if I take it easy but I would like to hear your opinions.

-Thanks

You'll be fine...

I have a ss/sc thats lowered and I drive mine year round here in MN, are weather and driving conditions are pretty much the same. I picked up some Saab 16" wheels for the winter and mounted up some nice Dunlop winter tires on them. The car is awesome in the snow now...feels like rally car IMO

DO NOT drive on all season tires in the winter...

I drive on all seasons in the winter. You just got to know what your doing. We have 13+ inches of snow here right now and this city is nothing but hills. I get around just fine on snow covered roads. I would have bought snow tires though if they weren't so expensive and lasting longer than a couple seasons.

These cares do ok in the snow?
I figured with the low front end, it would just push up a big pile of snow in front of it until it got stuck

The SS does fine provided you have proper tires and don't get too heavy on the throttle.

All seasons suck in the SS. I need to get winters for my SS/SC soon. Friday night was hell on the all seasons (My Winter tires from the G5 are not only too small, but were also trashed from the crash).
