Exclamation Cold air intake Tips Please

Fairly new owner of a 06 SS Supercharged.

Looking at buying a cold air intake and it seems that injen is the one with the best torque/horsepower gains. Can anyone give me some input on if this is accurate and/or what the actual horsepower/torque gains are? And if you have this would you refer me to buy an injen SP intake or would you lean toward a different intake?

Maybe 8 or 9 with a tune?

Maybe 2-3 w/o one.

Talk to Aaron at TurboTechRacing.com. They have the best deals.

I bought AEMcause of the dryflow fiter. The oiled filters can get oil on your MAF and throw check engine lights. Plus the AEM only replaces the tubing after the MAF so when you pop the hood its pretty stealth.

In fact, ill sell you mine for 125+ shipping if ur interested

Injen has been making intakes for many years and puts a lot of R&D into their intakes, we have sold a ton of Injen intakes and had very few issues, the early models did have a slight fitment issue but have not heard any issues with the newer models.

We have the Injen Black 2.0 SS model intake for 200.00 shipped no other vendor can compete with that price

Its gotta be more that a few HP. At least i would guess closer to ten. But i have no clue i could be completley wrong. I paid close to 300 for mine i believe, so 200 is a steal.

ok it might add 2or3 hp on a stock ss but you gotta figure every mod adds a net % of hp. lets say you already had the ls4 tb 2.8' pulley, #60 injectors, and head work done. Then you through on a injen intake you would see more like 10+ hp from it.

So you have the injen sp intake and you would refer it to me. Could you tell a difference in HP and gas mileage? If so what would you say was its biggest benefit? Thanks

this is what i did. I went to fabworx ( a couple of guys that own a shop( they work out of a storage building that they rent) fabworxfabrications.com) and did a custom exhaust. They built my resinator and muffler out of aluminum. 5' piping muffler with a 3' straight thru type piping. resinator is 4' piping. They packed the piping with absorbant **** so it muffles sound. resinator is 12inch and muffler is like 18. They went off my header with a bolt up aluminum flange. All aluminum piping with a 4'stainless steel tip. They pressed the tip on bc you cant weld al and stainless. Ne ways it looks Great! I am getting deployd to fallen for a month but when i get back i am going to make a sound clip of all aluminum exhaust and take pics of what it looks like. And best part of all is i lost weight. i havnt weight the 2 different pipes. Custom and stock but i plan to. any ways its just an idea to look into on your exhaust. I think i am the first to do all aluminum so thats pretty cool
