Colour of Cobalt? Black? Bad Idea?
As some of you know I've been looking for a Cobalt S/C and after some serious discussions about G85 package I made my mind up on that but now its colour, I'll take copper tone, black, blue, and silver but preferably black or copper tone, but after a hot day like today I'm starting to rethink the colour black, for all of you who own or have owned a black car, did it attract alot more heat than other coloured cars, even if you had tinted windows? I know the upkeep on the black will be a pain but I can live with that but with going into an oven roasted car every day? I dunno about that...gimme your inputs on this guys...
ONE MORE THING! I really like the blue colour but everyone seems to buy the S/C in that colour especially in my area, so if not the black I'll probably tell dealership to look for copper tone and silver colour.

Well, windows up, leather, no matter how you look at it, it will be super ******* hot when you get in. Black supposidly absorbs more heat...it really isn't that big a deal to me i have a black balt with all black leather interior. Don't get no hotter according to science, but that is why they invented roll down windows and ac. The ac in these cars with the windows down knock the heat out in no time, then roll windows up and its like December all over again.
Biggest problem for me, is keeping the thing super clean like I like it.

If you really want to know, go visit the car lot around 1:30pm where you live. This is about when the interior of the car will be insane. Don't let the sales rep drive the car to, but instead insist on opening it up yourself. Make sure they have all the models your interested in parked in the sun before you arrive.
I live in Florida, and the dealer I went to had two on the lot, identical in every way except color. I went in looking to get the black, I bought the silver one. Why? Opened the black one and got nailed in the face by about 125 degree heat on a 100 degree day. Checked out the silver, and it was about 105 to 109 degree heat.
The black interior is always going to make the inside hotter than hell, but the body color will contribute to the problem.
Truthfully, in the end, it's all about what you like the most. I wanted mine to not draw attention, and the silver color blends in nicely.

I don't know I would have to say (atleast around here!) Silver Cobalts are EVERYWHERE! I like being the unique one around here.
Me with Laser Blue
Area47 has Sport Red Tintcoat
Jeremie has Sunburst Orange Metallic
The only ones of our little crew that aren't silver or black!

I like black. It does need a bit more attention to keep it clean but thats ok. If I didn't have black I would go for the Sunburst Orange. I had a Sunburst Orange Cavalier and had lots of compliments because of the color.

i hate attention too, but all they had was yellow. the black one that i was comming to sign the papers on wouldn't start. yellow's hotter than hell also. whatever color you pick will be hot, imo they all will feel the same sitting in the sun. just get the color you want.

Sunburst Orange FTW! All the other colours are too common. Also, the orange has so many levels depending on the light.
I get lots of comments on my car, and it's a totally stock base LS with the 15" steelies and everything.

Let's reorganize that some, shall we?
In order of hottest to coolest
Sport Red Tint Coat, Black, Blue, Rally Sport Yellow, Red, Orange, and finally Silver
That's better
