Colour of Cobalt? Black? Bad Idea?
mines black....my biggest complaint (i live in a dusty town) if i dont wash it literally every week, someone will make a joke about how dirty my car is.... its INCREDIBLY high maintenance. in retrospect, i wish i got orange metallic
My favorite color on 'most' cars is silver...so that would be my pick.
But the orange is unusual, and catches peoples attention...whenever I'm driving I catch alot of people checking out my car, and just about every day someone is complimenting it, or at least the color of it...my mom is in love with the orange too.
Black looks awesome, but seriously, it is very high maintenance. Scratches show so easily, even all the swirl marks from washing it will stand out. And it shows dirt worse than any other color.

seriously, black is probably the worst color ever for a car BUT, if you like to wash your car everyweek, and scrub like i do, you will enjoy black because black look so good en cleaned.
black is ALWAYS classy!! Wanted a black balt...but couldnt find one in the options i wanted...so ended up going with sunburst...and honestly couldnt be happier...you have NO IDEA how many people tell me what an awesome color it is. And not to mention it doesnt show dirt NEARLY as bad as the black. But that just my opinion and i might be kinda partial
ok dont take this the wrong way guys but..... according to my friend on regard to the color Sunburst Orange he said.. " God pissed and made that Color" that should give you a take on how some others will view your car lol
i just really dig how my cars color looks totally different depending on how sunny it is, check out how different my car looks between these two shots, the only difference is the sun is behind a cloud for one.

Don't worry about the "heat" black attracts. The interior cabin of the Cobalt is so small, it cools rapidly. Best way to keep the car from getting too hot is keep the sunroof shade closed, or don't get a sunroof (difficult if you are buying off the lot)
The big problem with black is keeping it clean. In this case, there is one product that has worked VERY well for the car. Thought it was a bit of snake oil, but it is not. The Mr. Clean auto dry car cleaning de-ionizing filter system is fantastic for a black car...gets rid of drip marks with its filter system made by Pur. Makes cleaning the car a LOT easier.

Soak the car with "regular" water, soap it down, rinse with regular water...then rinse with the filtered water from the system. Water sheens off.

On a sunny day

on a cloudy day

and in the dark its a very very dark shade of orange but i have no pics
^^that black car is so hot, black was my second choice if not orange
black rocks if you dont mind cleaning it often. i love having black, but other times i hate it because i can spend all day cleaning it and then have it dirty in like ten minutes. it all depends on how much work you want to put into it. if i could go back and get a new color it would either be the blue or silver
If you have any form of minor OCD like I do DO NOT GET BLACK. I love my car and I actually still love washing it but, what I hate is seeing every little blemish show up on it. Swirls everywhere. I make sure to park away from everyone and yet I still notice new little marks on it. And until I get a buffer they are stuck there.
However I will agree, when my car is freshly cleaned and freshly waxed the thing shines soooo much and people look at me and go "nice car".
