1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GT loaded with everything before I came to Korea, but when I get back in September I'll have the Sport packaged LS waiting for pickup.

Kinda downgrading, but at the same time upgrading. Suits me just fine.

I'm a converter. Was never a fan of the cavie, then when I first saw the "beachball" commercial with the Cobalt & the Corvette, I decided I wanted one.

Had a 2000 Cavalier. Got tired of the dash rattling.

I guess I'm converted. I own a few GM vehicles 96 GMC Sierra, just sold a 97 Grand Am (my wife's car), and a 2001 Tahoe. I have used these in my business(drive alot 50,000 miles a year). The Tahoe was killing me in gas to the tune of $35 a day. I needed a small car with good gas mileage. I also needed a car I knew would last for 250,000 miles. I really was looking hard at Scion TCs. My wife came home with a cobalt brochure. I told her I didn't want a cavalier (no offense to anyone intended, I never liked cavaliers). One of the rental companies I do work for got some cobalts in. I looked at a yellow coupe with 15s and a spoiler. That made my mind up"this is not a cavalier". I now have a black ls sport coupe.

I had an olds Alero. I HATED j-bodies.

Basically the Cobalt was the fastest car for under $30G's CDN. I looked at a cooper S as well. SRT-4's are more expensive here, plus I had GMS and other rebates so I got the SS for 6G's less than an SRT-4.

Converter here! Coming from a SUV craze... I don't know what I was thinking.

'01 GMC Jimmy, '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and my '92 Talon TSi.

I've had my black SS/SC for 2months now and I'm loving every minute of it! I was worried ordering a car that I had never test drove or even sat in, but it was worth the worries and the wait.

Bring on the mods!!

I plan on "down grading" from a 97 Camaro SS.Every one in our local club thinks I am crazy. But, I have been following these cars scince the concepts and rumors were around. Neat little cars and 29 MPG with a Supercharger, sign me up!

Hey i kind of had that problem when i needed car it was first b/w the TC and the SRT-4 , then it went to the SRT-4 and SS and i picked the SS cuz well its better all-around, although a bit slower its just a nicer car in my opinion.

Oh and its G85, its a sports package, that comes with LSD (limited Slip Differential) and Recarro seats. although i haven’t seen the Package on the chevy website or at the dealer i went to.

The kicker for me on the TC vs. Cobalt debate was the longevity of the GM vehicles I have owned. Granted the Scion TC is a Toyota, so it should last for many miles. The Cobalt is made by GM and in the last 10 years I have owned 3 Gms that I have put over 150,000 miles on. First was a 1996 GMC Sonoma, Bought it with 12000 miles and sold it at 256,000 when the clutch finally gave out. Then the 1997 Grand Am bought at 28000 sold (to my Dad) at 243000. It is still being driven about 40 miles a day. 1997 GMC Sierra bought it with 69,000 now has 246,000. Last is my 2001 Chevy Tahoe with 197,000 miles and I swear this truck is just getting broken in good. Somewhere along the way I became to my amazement a GM Guy. Never saw it coming.
