The temperature at which the fans come on can be changed with hptuners... Since I got mine, the fans come on at 90 degrees celcius, and bring it back down to about 80-83, depending on the temp outside...

you can also have a custum tune done. my tune is set to turn the fans on and the intercooler pump the second i turn the ignition on. im at 185 crusing, and 98-102 iat2s. dont be concerned bout 230 if ur sitting. if gets much hotter or its 230 all the time then i would be worried. till then your fine.

Turn your defroster on and hit the A/C button .... fans will come on . I do that when i see it at 212f or over . I believe the car starts to pull timing at 212 .

there is something wrong if your temp is 260

turn on the A/C and recirculate the air, turn the fan to its lowest speed that its on, the 2nd setting

running the a/c and recirculating the air turns the cooling fans on their highest speed

That should never happen though unless you spring a leak somewhere. A leak, even if no liquid comes out, causes the system to lose pressure and the coolant will boil at a lower temp.
Yours fans will help but they when the engine is cooking water like that you need to check your water pump, your probably thinking " well wouldn't my coolant just keep getting hotter " and yes it would if it didn't work, but 60% of the water pumps from factory come wired wrong, and these pumps are dual polarity, which means they can flow either way, which can hugely affect your water temp if coolant is flowing the opposite direction. I was racing someone today and my coolant touches 192 for the first time ever, so if your in the 220 range, you need to check it out
