Could it be a fuse issue?
I'm a mom and I belong to a mustang forum because I have a mustang. I figured since mustangs much have a forum site that chevy would too.
My son is in the Navy and just bought a 2006 Cobalt SS last weekend. It's been driving great according to him. Yesterday he bought a GPS because he will be driving home soon. He said half way back to base the GPS quit working and that his outlet has no power. Could this be a fuse?
Thank you.

If it is a fuse for the Aux Output this one is under the hood. The car contains two fuse panels, one behind a panel on the passenger side of the console and one under the hood near the ECM. In this case, he's going to need to pop the hood and the fuse box is near the driver's side strut tower near the connection for the positive battery terminal (since the battery is in the trunk). I forget how many he has to count back on the lefthand side, but if he looks inside the cover it will read AUX OUTPUT or something of that nature. Assuming the fuse has never blown there's an extra with the correct amperage.
On a side note this happened with my '08 TC and the issue was a loose connection in the wiring loom and the ground was touching a brace above my BCM which id behind the shifter in the centre console. He can take that entire thing apart piece by piece relatively easily since if it isn't the fuse, the second it goes back in it's going to blow again.
