Ok I appologize for the length of this post in advance but this is a hell of a story that I felt I had to share. Yesterday I went to a local dealership with a friend for him to look at one of the new C6's. I've been in this dealership a bunch of times in the last few weeks so I wasn't expecting anything. As we walked in what was sitting in the showroom but a red SS/SC from the parade for the NYC autoshow(the one with the "Cobalt An American Revolution" windshield sticker). I immediately freaked out and called the dealership I placed the order at to find out about my order.

My dealer said that my car hadn't even been allocated for production yet, and the dealer that was standing in front of me said he wasn't expecting another one till the 06 model. Basically they were both telling me it was either now, or way later. So without rational thinking I said I was taking this one. It wasn't actually in the showroom at the autoshow, they drove it for the parade and then drove it from NYC to the dealership. Has about 37 miles on it, which was the least of my worries.

So instead of my Rally Yellow SS/SC I ended up with a red one, and it has the XM which I hadn't ordered originally. Both of which I can get over. When I went to speak to the finance guy about my car and the C6 my friend was buying he was shocked that I was able to buy the car. There was some commotion about how it was supposed to be a show only car and entice people to preorder it. In the end though, it was sold to me and I'm taking it home on Saturday!!

Just thought I'd let everyone know that if you ordered your car at the end of January or later, I wouldn't expect and 05' model, at least if your in the NYC area. And share my pure excitement that I'm getting one finally!!
