Do I dare?

Hey guys. I found a pretty nice 05 Cobalt SS. Its yellow, 21k on the clock for 14,357. This price is reduced from 15,999 when the dealer first got the car a month ago. I checked it out in person and its clean as ****, but I just didn't think the price warranted the switch from the Sport that I have. The car is Gm certified has black rims, tails, and a K/N intake and different shift ***. So, Im gonna lose like 1,000 on my trade, Ive only had the sport for 4 months, but the fact they dropped the price on the SS helps. I regret not getting a 5 speed and the SS looks way better+the leather is sweet.

So, do i dare pull the trigger tomorrow?

So ask yourself:

Mileage or Looks.

But if its cheaper, I say go for it. If I read it correctly.

Well from what I've learned here..the LSJ is a tank of a motor especially if you keep it stock/lightly modded. 20k is pretty low on any car, and since the car is certified, I still am under warranty until 2010.

It seems like a deal thats worth it.

I think the only difference between the LSJ and the SC is the power distribution. SOMEONE CORRECT ME IF WRONG.

But I say go for it. I say Looks and power=WIN

For sure, I think the black and yellow look is sharp as hell. And the fact it has an intake on it already is cool so I don't have to spend my money on that haha.

Yeah the car drives fine, clutch feels fine and everything, interior is clean etc. Its a cherry

The price of insurance is actually 8 bux less a month, they said 169 for the SS, 177 for the Sport currently. I guess the year makes the difference? And the gas is same, premium in both, and I've read the LSJ gets better fuel economy than the LE5.

They dropped the price because they cant sell it, dealers will do anything to sell a car especially with these cars being the less desired version of the SS now Im sure you can talk them down

Very true... any thoughts and or opinions on the hurst short throw? I thought I remember reading that either the Hurst or the B&M is incredibly short? Or am I wrong?

Luckily they certified it as-is..so if I did get it I'd get it shown in writing the car had mods done to it already. I am a bit worried about the fact it does have mods though. grr this is tough lol

I have never heard bad things about the Hurst. Neither are incredibly short.

looks like it has tinted tails, hurst sts, k@n intake, black rims, painted calipers, tint, and a gmpp exhaust. looks pretty sewwt and 21000 is not alot for a 2005. id say offer them 13,500 and take it.
