To Do An Overhaul one must...

Ok guys... wasn't exactly sure where to place this so.... im new to modding "Sport Compact" cars.... i come from a Muscle car family...

so my problem is the following:

Im in the processing of possibly purchasing a, apptly dubbed by myself, overhaul kit.. it can be found at
http://www.neweraperformanceparts.co...&PKV=2pkgcss|0

Now my question is... if i purchase this package and the HPTuner, can i "Reflash" my own motor or will i have to take it to a dealer?....

and also is that kit look like a good way to go (Alot stuff in it so pretty much clears the house!)...

Just looking for some insight... sorry bout bein a complete newb

if you have hp tuners you dont need the dealer to tune your car , but using hp tuners isnt easy especially if you dont know anything about cars , the kit you are looking at isnt bad , i dont know if it comes with a tune if it does its worth it if not then i would consider something else

Honestly I would look into a place with a "flash" for your computer to fit their kit like TAG, Intense, or GM because if you don't know how to tune a car you can seriously mess things up with hptuners. It's a fantastic program for those of us who can tune, but if you can't or don't have prior experience I'd stay away from it.

Thats a pretty good kit, but i think if you shop around, you can piece up a kit cheaper.

not the fact of not knowing anything about cars... i restored my own 79 camaro ^_^
just dont know a whole lot about newer "Computer-Controlled" cars haha!

anyways i think i'll just piece it together... New Era is only like 2 or 3 hrs away from me that why i was asking... plus they state that they will help you tune over the phone.. etc etc etc... anyways i'll keep yah posted haha!
