at first I hated the C-SRT4 when they went to it, but after a bit I really warmed up to them;
my brother was complaining about the HHR-SS and I recommended him look into the C-SRT4 ~ to which he replied something to the effect of "you know this never even occurred to me!";
he arranged test drives back to back - let me tell you that not only does the HHR feels cramped compared to the C-SRT4, it also seems to have more cheap surfaces, and less power.

...

back to the cobalt;
is it just me - or does that exhaust tip look to be non-stock...

*shrug*

looks like a nice car to me, the stripes arent bad, I just think they shouldnt have used so many different colors and toned down the size a bit. Ive never seen the car around the forum, but hopefully if you decide to purchase, it will be everything you are looking for.

Also, what year, how many miles, and what mods?

The stripe isnt that bad. I wouldnt really want it on there though.

CSRT4's were nice. I thought about trading in my cobalt on one till i saw they were 28k here.

**** the HHR SS. I hate those things with a passion.

i think the car has been modded because the sensor on the intake has been broke off and he traded for a srt caliber so i figure he was a tuner. The Exhaust is really loud. i figure he parted before trading.

i dont think it has a tune i went WOT in first gear it didnt boost past 15 i didnt check if it had a hide a tune the salesman had to go for the ride.

its 2009 with 28xxx miles they want 16k for it and i offered them 15 for it and they wouldnt take it.

15k is taking a risk for sure
WOT in 1st gear kinda says it all i dont think on my GMS1 i can get it to 15PSI cause traction and i think its limited 1st gear.

I think almost (but not all) used ss//tc or even sc's were beat. I'm pretty sure mine was. But i still wanted one anyways. I'll take the risk because it still has warranty left. And i can always get another later after the original expires.

beaten, neglected, bad tune...so many things to look for when dropping $15,000 on a turbocharged econocar. i got mine for 16.5 a year ago with +11,400 mi. with gms1 no other mods it was a gem!

Well i suspect mine have been driven hard. It runs real well and pulls pretty good and i'm fairly sure it's stock. Not sure on the clutch though. It feels like its aftermarket.

If its aftermarket i would maybe just let my dealer know so they got that wrote down somewhere incase u bring it in and think u put it on there. When i finaly found my papers for the GMS1 instalation i went back and told my dealer so they knew and cause the idiots were calling it a upgraded supercharger...

I luckily ran into the original owner of my balt about 6-7 months ago he was a kinda smugg middle aged dude mildy overweight but definatly looked responsible. He said he finds himself wanting it back sometimes but he got rid of it cause he already had a "Racecar" being a old Z28, it was a relief.

I stand corrected. There is a white sticker that says GMPP 19212670 on the underside on my hood. So it's got a gm stage 1. Mine came from Maryland originally but i don't know if was anybody's on here.

Nice, i think that the product # How much does yours boost? it says 20psi but i get 21-22psi here in Tx. Also the are some pretty Bosch sensors u can find 1 above the exhaust manifold (i think it is) and 1 down below it.

I haven't pounded on the car so i'm not sure. What should i be seeing? Is it 20 in all gears or not? say maybe full 20 by 3rd? I'll have to check the sensors to be sure i have the picture from crate engine depots website.

yea 20psi by 2nd gear for sure possibly spiking 21 or 22. i do dig runs but never really last long in 1st gear but im almost certain our cars stock are not suppose to be buildin much boost outta 1st gear (unless tuned) i think i get mine up to maybe 4-5 psi in a 1st gear romp but normally the needle in the boost guage is jus flickin around the vacuum side with your throttle input. ( as if you were jus creepin around a parking lot )
