Does everything work on your car?

I was just wondering how many people's Cobalts have no electrical issues whatsoever. Just fixed my key fob by adding a few pieces of aluminum foil between the lock button and the circuit board. My driver side door lock will unlock only sometimes. Fog light button doesn't work but thats pretty much hidden with my G5 accents that replaced the old silver. Fixed my faulty 3rd brakelight bar by replacing the circuit board. Blown rear sidemarker fixed. Still need to fix cruise control. Cobalt SS tc I tested had a faulty tpms and trunk release didn't work. I feel a bit OCD in that I'm not 100% until I fix this stuff lol.

the only thing that doesnt work on my car is the volume down on the steering wheel controls. ive got a pioneer deck and axxess module and for some reason i cannot get the volume down to work, it turns the volume up. drives me insane.

I'm OCD about stuff and can say that everything works on my car and for the most part always has. Think I've only had problems with 1 tpms sensor ever.

Everything is working 100% in mine. I do get a TPMS Sensor for RR tire every once in while. Also the previous owner wired in a diode to keep the low beams on with the high beams, so if I use the stock head lights they will blow the headlight fuses. Unless I can find the diode and remove it I'm stuck using the cheapo after market projectors with 2 seperate bulbs. Once I figure out where that is though I will be fixing it. That is the only thing stopping me from doing retros.

I believe it, seems like vehicles like to act up the most when you're trying to sell them. My Jeep Cherokee I just sold took a few seconds longer to crank up for the buyer. Eventually did but I had just earlier started it to move it. Never had a problem cranking. It didn't want to go lol

My drivers side unlock and mirror select back lights have burnt out.

Sometimes get a weird buzzing noise through the speakers that I don't notice until it stops randomly.

Burn out fogs and headlights all the time.

Sometimes selecting XM doesn't work. Have to cycle through FM, AM and listen to one for a few seconds then try again. Then the display sometimes shows the wrong info.

Assuming that the buttons are okay, then the module is looking at the resistance weird. happens on those sometimes, a re-learn should fix it.

it didnt work from the day i put it in. i did the self learn, the manual programming, tried adding a resistor inline and reprogramming it, nothing. at that point i gave up on it. prior to this head unit i had an older pioneer single din that didnt have the wired input, so i had a PAC inferred steering wheel module and it worked fine unless you blocked the inferred eye. i was going to rip the axxess module out and get a pac wired module but i never got time. its on my list of small things to fix this spring if i dont sell the car.

My car would go crazy sometimes, the gauge would turn off and other stuff but it ended up having a loose fuse and after that it worked like a champ.

the photocell that makes the displays brighter sometimes works. sometimes on a cloudy it'll light up, but on a sunny day it doesn't. steering wheel buttons once in a while don't work.

Aside from a few burnt out lights in the HVAC and SWRC, My car with 336,xxx km (approx. 209,000 miles) has no electrical gremlins, knock on wood.

I have the lights, I just have to change them. Maybe I'll do that tonight...

The only real electrical issues I've had with this car was a bad throttle body. Every time it would rain, the next day the car would go into power reduced mode. Hooked it up to my friends TechII and found that the actual and anticipated throttle positions weren't matching up. Swapped out the throttle body, no issues since!

Again.... knock on wood

I passenger door unlock buttons were never hooked up at the factory.

Does that count?

I take this statement back. my front passenger window is slow to roll up, and my rear driver side door lock actuator malfunctions sometimes. Maybe this week I can get around fixing those.

No, mine will literally stop sometimes. I've had to reach over and help it along before.

So far with 80k miles everything works. Granted I've only owned the vehicle for 7k of that, so I can't speak for the previous owner.

08 with 43k and only thing that doesn't work is the tune button on the radio. The reset button on the wheel and trunk button have to be pressed a lil harder than normal but they work.
Windows work pretty good on both sides but I also clean and lube the guides so idk if that helps.

The car was pretty much fully functional until I hit 90,000 miles.

Right at 90k the turn signal broke and wont stay left. It will stay right but wont turn off auto anymore..

Stereo button for changing the bass,mid,treb...ect broke. I drilled it out with a drill and now I shove my pinky deep in there to change the stereo. lol

Sunroof button bezal falls out, now its in the glove box.

Bottomed out my car on a speed bump and the trunk floor pan has a rip near 2 ft long.

I sealed it with caulk but because these chassis flex, it didn't hold and my trunk fills up with exhaust fumes.

I still love this car and it is a clean example for the most part lol

Everything except the sunroof. It made this loud snapping noise and was stuck open for days. Then somehow it closed and hasn't opened since. This was a year ago, lol. Junk.

Damn this post also made me remember that my blinker switch has a crack and sometimes wont click off on its own. Here recently it's been working fine, but in my HHR SS the blinker switch will not turn off on its own at all.
