I have seen with my own two eyes a cobalt SS/SC run a 16.1 in the quarter mile.

A cobalt could run 18 if the driver sucked enough

Not a typo, the guy said that it only had about 1200 miles on it and that they told him at the dealership that the car computer restricts it till around 3500 miles, plus he was dumping it at about 3500 rpms. told him not to just dump it and he then ran a 15.4. but it was 16.10 originally

wouldn't doubt it... there's a lot of shitty drivers out there, and no offense to anyone here, but most cobalt owners are younger and don't have much driving experience...

yea it's kind of sad because you can hear people in the stands behind you making fun of it.....lol There was a kid there bracket racing last year and he got his three runs...ALL of them in the 16's and he decides to put his dial in time as a 14.7? Like dude...you just ran 16's all night and you really think your going to come close to a 14.7?

If he's running like less than .1 faster than you w/ a 5speed how could you not believe that? Yours is auto and only has a CAI more than his car...

I ran a 16.xx once.

Came off the line a little to hard and had a lot of wheel hope. So i pushed in the clutch, put it in second, and took an easy on the run.

Just curious how old are you? How many times have you been to the track and how long have you been driving stick? 14.5 in a stock SS is not an easy task. This car doesn't hook up for crap and that can make the whole run slow.

I've run 16 or worse a few times. I may even have a few slips of it.
