it definately could be. any water getting up into the connections and corroding it will start issues. i just htought thats why they all come with those nice rubber connections :arms in air:
i feel your pain. bought a kit from a vender and plugged it all up test worked then passenger flickered then went out. put it on driver side worked fine put back to passenger still nothing ive checked wires fuses relays everything ive about given up
If its us never recv'd a PM with an issue Id be glad to help!
HIDS are problematic but then again you probably paid less than $75 for your kit. You get what you pay for sometimes appiles here.
Ive always run generic ebay kits and NEVER had one fail. Lots of times the filament sort of flickers for a second and that pisses me off. One day ill get morimotos! But theres nothing that could get me to not have HIDS.

we texted lol. im the guy you always ask who are you and how did you get my number. I think its the bulb, but ive had to much going on to really care lately. might tinker with it tomorrow. if I can figure out the problem ill shoot you a pm or a text. baby is sick gf is in the hospital work is slow so its cool. it may not even be the kit it may be the car
I removed the ballast from underneath the light today and it pulled apartt pretty much crumpling
I'm sure I'll hate driving at night now :P I keep pondering another set, but the question remains will I have another failure?
I've been looking at the wiring of lots of these kits... came across this which was very different from my setup. I'm just guessing less wires less complications for later on... just my theory

Getting sick of mine too. Running a low only kit cause my one attempt at a somewhat hi/low was a pita. I miss having brights, especially living in the country.
Not sure if the cobalt is the same, but on the redline you have to switch some wires or the highs won't turn off. So that was a pain. Then when I got it working, my low beams were my brights and bright side were my lows. Then at the end, they just wouldn't turn off no matter what I did.
I, like most people, love the look of hids. Just wish I could find halogens that looks similar.

Had the same HID kit in my LS since 08 still going strong, the passenger side is dimming though so might have to replace that soon. Got it from vvme. HIDs in my SS are going strong too, lows and fogs.
OEM hids are always the best way to go. You can get OEM ballasts and bulbs (well not H1) to use on your retrofits, they will just be very expensive, and you HAVE to put them somewhere waterproof because OEM ballasts are not waterproof, they are always either put inside the headlight or in a small waterproof box nearby in OEM applications. My 7 year old OEM ballasts in my Evo still work like a charm. Fully warmed up in less than 5 seconds. OEMs have much tighter regulations to meet than aftermarket does, which literally has no regulation.
