downpipe

downpipe

Car has 90k miles. I can't take off the stock downpipe off my lnf the bolts will just not budge. I tried breaker bars, mallets and penetrating fluid. Still nothing does anyone have any tips?

Those are a pain. Try a torch. Get as much leverage as you can via a cheater bar. Borrow a good impact wrench.

if i got mine off in ny u can do it haha use a 3 foot long pipe on ur breaker bar n take the driver wheel off, get as close to outside of the car n crank it as hard as u can, if that dont work use a 6 foot pipe while a friend holds it n crank it as hard as u can.. use a swivel and 1/2 inch or even 3/4 breaker bar. u want as much power as u can get

Exhaust nut/screws are the @#$@#$ worst. Just be prepared to have to drill/cut and replace them.. YOu could even take it to an exhaust shop so they can do all the work. Totally worth the cost.

I think I put my DP on mine at like 10k miles? with no winter, so the bolts weren't too bad. I went under there to do an oil change and theyre rusty now but not winter/salt bad yet.
