Driver Mod?
they're saying that they're a good driver... some people say a driver mod is the best mod... it's the reason why some drivers get high 15's in the 1/4 and some will get low 14's with the same car...
being a good driver is possibly the best way to win races. The really goor drivers are few in numbers therefore those that have made impresive runs for the mods they got can put that without being heckeled.
agreed with the above statements, but usually you can tell if the person is a good driver just by their times. most people post them in their sigs. i would say a 14.5 or lower in the 1/4 or a 9.4 or lower in the 1/8(this is all stock) would qualify as a good driver. just my opinion...
SpringMountain has a great school (3 day program) in Corvettes for those interested in road racing more than drag races. The level 1 course also covers heel-toe, collision avoidance, proper positioning, picking the "line", eye-hand coordination, car balance, and lots of other great stuff.
I'm headed back for level II in October in the C6 Z06. I wish I could get some time in the Cobalt just to get experience in a front wheel drive car.
Log on to their web site, they have information plus a video of a lap on the track.

skip barber also has good schools. some of them are expensive but its worth it in the end. moreso if you roadrace because they teach you proper lines, but itll help you drag as well. if i had 1400$ laying around it hit up skip barber for a weekend of driving school. the racing school would be nice but its too expensive and i dont really plan on doing any real racing like that.
