your check engine light will come on and then a diagnostic tool will have to be connected to your vehicle to extract the code which the error occured in..then they just basically tell you what u need...this can def come in handy to prevent yourself from gettin ripped off from a mechanic who assumes you know nothing about your car

Oh, my, god. Thats an absolutely incredible amount of sensors... Theres one error message up there I really do like seeing though...

OK guys I split this off from the DTC list just so we could keep it clean and seperate for sticky purposes.
To answer a question. You can get the codes from a odbII code reader, autotap is one of them.
I dunno anything about onstar.
