dual exhaust
a 4 cylinder car can NOT have a dual exhaust... you can have 2 exhaust pipes running out the back for "show" though... it won't help performance, and adds extra weight... you'll have to have something custom made, and then you'll have to cut a hole in your bumper to fit it.

and here is the how-to for making the cut in your bumper:

this is there exaust... and its after the back axel.. i was told by a honda guy.. the reason for the dual exaust is for the needed back pressure... the y that is there causes more back pressure and for some reason that particular engine performs better that way...." it is just what i was told.."

well a 4 banger can not have true duals so dodge put it there for show. thats the only purpose. it wont hurt your car, it just doesnt do anything good for it. a good single exhaust is just as good as a fake dual setup. like its been said it just adds weight. ya gotta be careful too because i am pretty sure even a fake dual setup like the srt4 has will reduce back pressure a little so its possible you could reduce it too much
i am willing to bet it would sound the same with one pipe. its all for looks bro, if you like it go for it by all means. i am just saying you dont need to it will do nothing for your car but increase the weight by a little. not givin you hell here

No, S2K's don't have dual exhausts. They have dual outlets. Single pipe from the header and downpipe, leading to two exits.
If you're going for sound, then do this. If for performance, don't. I think 'Psykosteve' (think I spelled his name wrong) has dual exhaust otlets, he says it crackles like an SRT-4.
I thought it was vise versa.

I put dual magnaflow mufflers on my car.It sounds nothing like an srt-4 though.I dont really care for the crackling noises the srt's make.Heres the link to the pictures.https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/appearance-48/pic-my-dual-exhaust-56850/
