Dumb drivers!

First I wanna say I don't think I'm the best driver in the world but I can say I'm a smart driver. I drive a dumb truck so of course I have to deal with people who can't drive.

How many people do you think get in their car and just drive? Thinking they are safe. I don't care how many air bags you have a car can gets smashed easily. It just drives me nuts seeing people tailgating others going 75 mph + or texting in the fast lane going that fast.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm always checking for cars coming out of intersections and off of ramps. But it seems 85% of people don't see what's around them and assume they are safe in a car. People always cut in front of me without Even thinking twice, even if the space is just big enough to fit their car in they will do it. Oh and everyone is in a damn rush...why?! Lol sorry the little rant

I do the same thing. I barely ride in the right lane because of it.

All this and none of them ever know who has the right of way.

Don't get me started, 80% of the population doesn't take driving seriously at all. It's the main reason I stopped working on buses and started working on trains, so I won't have to deal with idiots on the road as much

It's crazy how everyone one is in such a rush, I fill as if there is no one who just takes their time to get to work or whoever they are going. I'm guilty on this one but I don't do it often but when the road turns into one lane and it says to get In a single file line. Everybody rushes up trying to get 4 cars ahead like it's getting them someone where but really they are part of the cause of the traffic jam

People need a lesson in traffic design. Which will never happen.

All elements of traffic design are based on a design speed. If you go under or over that design speed you royally screw up everything . From traffic flow to merging, speed is the key.

The other day on the way to school I was behind an idiot. He didn't know where he was going I guess. He went to get on the on ramp going south then he must have decided he didn't wanna go south,so instead of looking before he pulled back onto the road he just stopped in the on ramp lane and then turned back onto the road right in front of me. I layed on my horn and he threw his arms up like it was my fault .. then he got mad and must have floored it and didn't even get on the highway lol. He was in a civic. luckilY is stay about 4 car lengths back.

I agree with you on that. And I think people should take some sort of IQ test on driving and an actual course of different scenarios that can happen while driving .

I drive the whole day, and some people just tick me off. I drive an old van with drum brakes, and stopping that thing is a nightmare, I really hate when I'm slowing down for a light and people just cut me off, reducing the amount of space that I have to stop, causing me to have to stand on my shitty brakes and be way too close to them for my comfort level.
For them it's just an insurance claim, if I end up hitting them, but for me it would be two days suspended without pay from work and maybe losing a nice cash bonus at the end of the quarter.
So I just take my time, and drive under the speed limit, I get paid by the hour anyway.

THIS! I don't understand why this concept is so ******* foreign to people. Why the hell would you get into a lane with people doing 55-60 when you are doing 40. The definition of merge is "to combine, blend, or unite gradually so as to blur the individuality or individual identity of" but how can you "blur the individual identity of yourself" if you are being the individual ******* up traffic?! sorry. /rant

Before getting their license, people should be obligated to take a few months of driving lessons, driving a shitty car without any helping gadgets, being tested for different driving conditions including weather. while having to pay a pretty penny for the class, and then have to retake the whole thing again and pay full price again, if they fail their driving test.
Drivers should also do the same type of class if they are found at fault for a traffic accident or get a big ticket for breaking driving laws. All of the above would make the roads a lot safer.

The concept is not foreign to people. I truly believe that there are too many insecure drivers out there, that are just afraid of getting hit by overly confident drivers who think they own the road.
If everyone were on the same page and contributed to keep traffic moving, instead of fighting for a little space in the road, everything would be nice.

I feel your pain man people do it to me all day and I'll be loaded weighing 68,000 lbs but so you think people think about that as they pull in front of me. It's even worse trying to stop the truck unloaded because of how light it is. I'll stop 30 yards from the red light so I can just coast up and just put it in gear when the light turns green I can put in gear without stopping and using the clutch so much...well do they do just jump right in front me

The problem is soo many people take everything as a personal insult or challenge. I see it happen all the time where people don't want to let someone over or the push as far as they can to get in front of one car. If people chilled the **** out and let everything flow things would be a lot better.

My woman just got t boned for the second time yesterday in less than a year. Jackass in a Prius stops at a stop sign, clearly not paying attention. Just as she gets in front of his car at the intersection, he slams right into the passenger side. His excuse? "It's that time of day". So if you acknowledge traffic is horrible at that hour, shouldn't YOU pay more attention?

When I worked construction, I used to drive pickup's with trailers hauling large equipment, dump trucks, dump trucks with dump trailers. Any people would just drive around me and cut me off like I was just another car, not realizing how much more space big vehicles with trailers need for stopping. My dad is a truck driver and he tells me about 5 or 6 various morons daily who almost killed themselves driving around his truck as if he were a car.

And when I was 8, me and my parents were in a pretty bad wreck. Flipped 6 times and slid on the roof. 18 year old kid drunk as a skunk.... Luckily we were in a little tracker that had a roll bar, and we all walked away mostly injury free, just some bumps and bruises.....

I seriously have NO patients for people who drive like stupid f*cking morons, or worse, just have no concept of how dangerous vehicles are. And now kids are growing up with phones glued to their f*cking hands, and are bred to have the attention span of a gnat..... WERE DOOOOMED!! I'm buying a Marauder!!

That's the reason I make sure people see me before I move at astop sign. And most of the time I just let them go first.

i deal with this type of driving daily, its pretty silly.

people cant merge or communicate with other drivers. there is like us and another 5% that know basics of driving with others

if im getting on a freeway/on the freeway and someone is merging ill look at the person or at least put my hand out to let them know my intentions. slow down or speed up to match the conditions

turn signals are oddly useless

one problem is people put them on in the other drivers blind spots, as most people they arent looking around for such signs. (tunnel vision) hahah

ill let people go in front of me if i saw them riding on other people's asses so i dont get annoyed with their impatience to be in stop and go traffic

oh my rant, i cant stand when the car behind you drives in your mirror or line of sight for the mirror.

not only do i have to look at their ugly face each time i scan my mirrors(continuously) I cant see motorcycles.

i give them plenty of room, dont want my car to get hit hehe

I've seem to come across more and more people that, once I put on my blinker to get over a car in that lane will close down on the gap almost as if to say, "Naaaaaaaa **** this guy..."

I try to be a nice driver like when I see a lone of cars behind me and someone is waiting to turn on the road I'll slow down and flash my light to let them go. But then you got the idiots who don't pay attention so as I'm flashing my light and getting closer to them I notice they are on their phone.

I honestly hate when I'm nice enough to let someone out or get in front of me and they don't have the common courtesy to wave thank you!
