Easy car/jack lifting bars?

Does anyone know of a product that mounts underneath the car near the stock jack lifting locations? I lift my car so frequently that spot is all bent and nasty now. I need a better way to lift my car. I'm imagining some sort of bars that mount underneath and follow the door sills.

Yeah perfect that looks pretty nice. Looks like that would stiffen up the car quite a bit too. I would really like to get some more info on this.

help stiffen the car up a lot, i welded mine, Powell uses Lord Fusor, but you can just drill/bolt them in and they will still help. either way jack point on them is awesome pick up one side front and rear all at once

this was posted a while back but still...

Currently, genuine F23 rotated mounts are available only directly from Powell Race Shop, 150.00 for a set.

Automatic cars do not need rotation, the axles are in alignment, manuals are not.

Custom parts take time and sometimes due to production build tolerances, installation requires shimming, filing, checking etc to install some parts. Use a torque wrench for all fasteners. Use Loctite red on all Brake fasteners except banjo bolts. Torque banjo bolts. If in doubt email or call for advice. No question is too silly/too simple/too complex

RACE PARTS
Tow hooks, carbon pieces, and other race parts are either in stock here or made to order. Allow 1-4 weeks depending on part if its custom and not stock. We have lots of Tow hooks in stock, our new Harness Bars and Under Car Rails URC with jack points and ez install nut and bolt plates, shipping Nov. 2010.
SUSPENSION:
Rear position (T for trailing) T Control arm trailing bushings are a serious issue. The supplier went bankrupt and now that I have purchased a humungous inventory from the ressucitated supplier I am making and supplying direct; same for the fprward position L for leading)control arm bushings I have them in stock .

Same applied for sway bars, but the supplier did not go ch.11, and they are generally in stock here; there is a group buy for bars for Canadians on the Ontario Cobalt Forums and the November madness sale has exhausted the supply as of mid November 2010. We have more in produciton and will be shipping and honoring the Madness pricing with rain checks through the end of November.

HSD coil overs sell for 1299 a set from the Powell Raceshop; so far the folks who have purchased these from us are happy with the slammed look. HSD are available from Powell RaceShop only at the moment.

I recommend Pedders and TC struts and shocks be purchased from Crate Engine Depot for most folks, unless you want to be slammed.

ENGINE
Griffin aftercoolers I do not carry in stock but recommend for LSJ s/c folks. Single pass Laminova's we have in stock they are $600 exchange. Plumbing diagrams are supplied, but the moulded hose is not. Moulded hose is recommended and a pita to source.
Most of our take off engine parts, body and chassis Cobalt/Redline supplies are exhausted, but feel free to pm or email me to see if I have things you need.

TRANSMISSIONS

I have recently acquired new parts so we have 4.05/ 4.45 /387 lsd trans complete from 1800.00, freshly rebuilt.

114.3 CONVERSIONS:
I can do different conversions, the cost is $800 for 4 wheel bearings modified, and a choice of LNF or LSJ axle shafts for the upgrade. It is possible to obtain an LSJ 5 X 110 conversion to LNF axle shafts for $500.00

BBK for the LSJ with 311mm x 28 mm PFC rotors are $1000.00

Brembo upgrade to 315mm x 28 floating rotors are $1200.00

Brembo uprade with stock rotors 311 mm x 26 mm rotors are $1000.00 (less if you buy from CED) requires a spacer we supply to Tom for LSJ.

Brake spindle cooling ducts are $225.00 add 200 for red silicone hose and front fog lite ducts for redline and LSJ 'Balt. The LNF is an issue I am working on the turbo routing gets in the way - a work in progress, advancing as of November 2010 so maybe in the new year.

I will add to this thread as I go along. Thanks for considering Powell RaceShop. Remember that modding takes time and money, as do custom parts. Enjoy your ride.

ALSO: SHIPPING AND PAYMENT
Cheapest shipping is by usps or Canada Post. I have lost two items (theft) a set of mounts and an exhaust flex through mail. It sucks, as I took the hit but the customer got their parts.

UPS is good but costs money. We can ship out of NY but do not do that often. We can ship return cores in the US to our NY address.

email me at qwikredline@hotmail.com or through a pm here or www.powellraceshop.com or www.powellmotorsport.com. both sites will drag you through to me.

We are not set up for e commerce on our sites, and may not ever go that far. We are hardly a high volume parts re seller. Paypal works, to the qwik addy, or you can contact gloria@powellmotorsport.com for shipping details and weird payment deals and other stuff like that.

Why don't you just use the front engine brace/cradle thingy? That's what I do. Lifts the entire front end of the car with one jacking point and it's solid steel so you pretty much can't break it... Or am I missing something here?

Edit: Wanted to add that I'm not trying to take away from Powell here. Hell, I want that setup too. Haha!

^^^ Not going to help if you want to jack from the side (NASCAR style ) to do a tire rotation......

Think everyone uses the cradle if they want to get the front end on stands - I know I do

It lifts it high enough for you to put jack stands so you can do tire rotations. At least in the front...

can easily get it high enough to get on stands, and not have to fight with the front bumper/lip to get to the cradle
