Haven't seen a post on this (if there's already one I appologize): CrateEngineDepot has 4 neat files available on their site that have pictures of building an Ecotec performance engine. Thanks Tom and guys at CED. Now I'll **** off my wife more by drooling over these for the next few days. She "Thanks" you too....

I found it easier to save the files to my computer and then open them with Adobe Reader.
Part 2 has a really detailed section on the timing chain -- holy cow are there a lot of parts in the front of the engine!

That is the LSJ build book. It has been around for quite a while now actually.
On a side note, the CED web site recently posted up all the SS/SC FE5 suspension parts as performance sale items for us base model owners.
