Whats you're most embarrassing moment in your car?? well mine was tonight, its not really that bad. anyway i will have had this car for a year in november and i live in oregon which is one of the only states where it's not legal to fill your own gas tank, someone else has to do it for you haha (it creates more jobs), this is what makes the story though.

I'm on my way to starbucks with the girlfriend when "ding ding ding" LOW FUEL comes on the DIC. oh yea i need to get gas. so we stop by starbucks and get our drinks and proceed to the gas station. i pull up to the pump roll down my window and the guy comes over to fill up my gas tank. He says, "what can i do for ya." i hand him a gas card as i say "fill premium, thanks" he swipes the card, selects premium with his gloved hand and turns around giving me my card back. with the pump in hand he walks to the back of my car; pauses for a moment, turns around and puts the pump back on its hanger. He walks up to my door again and says. "I hate to say it, but you're on the wrong side." Crap, I feel retarded my gas tank is on the other side and it won't reach i pull out and back in on the other side of the pump and the entire process is repeated and i sit there in shame as my car drinks from the fountain of explosive liquid and my girlfriend and the gas attendant laugh at me.

 

i did that the first time i had to fill up cuz all the cars ive had to fill up were on the left ... so i feel ur pain

 

yea but i've had this car for almost a year and i've put over 7k miles on it and i've filled the gas so many many times. what the hell was i doing lol. i mean if its a brand new car first time you fill up you have an excuse but... i had none

 

I would say the most embarrasing moment for me is.... when i went smashing through the gears and all the sudden i got the dreaded reduced engine power thing going on :-(
and then the car died in the middle of the road for like 5 minutes....

i was on an extremely busy road and when it died i was still rolling so i got the car into the turn lane and put the hazards on. it was damn embarrassing... here i am with a newer car and im sitting stranded... good thing it was kinda dark out so no one could see my face.

 

lol that happened to my mom when she was driving my old SS/SC turned out we needed a new fuse box=1000$

 

lol i have done that too cept around here you have to pump your own gas...

 

haha i got one. first day i was bringing home my new ss (2.4L) and my first 5 speed. well my dad is a gm at the dealership and after sitting around there all day waiting to be able to take home my new car he finally sends me on my way (after practicing a little of course) well by the time i was able to go home it was oh about 5:15-5:30 in the afternoon, on a friday, and the road the dealership is on happens to be one of the busiest roads in town. so rush hour traffic + me driving a stick for the first time by myself in stop and go traffic = bad. i would rev way too high or bog it. but the worst was i was almost at the intersection and i was getting ready to go, i stalled. **** i said to myself, with windows down (as is everyone elses) the light is green and theres a million people behind me. i turn it on, step on the gas and drop the clutch and pull the biggest burnout ever. then the light turns red, so i had to stop at the light with everyone staring at me. i didnt want to drive my car again after that haha. whew long story

 

that made me laugh

i laugh when i tell it but trust me when it happened i wanted to just crawl up into the fetal position in the passenger seat and pout haha

 

haha yea i stalled in the parking lot of the dealership twice when i got mine. but that was all.... i wasn't used to the clutch yet and all the guys at the dealership we're watching me leave cause i was the only customer there and they had just finished washing and waxing it so they drove it up to the showroom. they all laughed. for some reason i wasn't embarrassed though. i dunno

 

did u smoke the tires??? or just squeel them alot?

 

i go to school one city over. so the drive is seven miles... and i don't drive as much in the winter cause i go to the mt. hood a lot in my dad's suburban... and in the summer i'm usually out wakeboarding or tubing cause the willamette river runs by my house. i guess i don't drive it too much. i think i put 60 miles on it yesterday lol and that was a lot for me

 

Well lets see...

pretty much same thing happened to me,

went to the dealership saturday morning and being only 17 i had to have my dad sign the lease (even tho i pay for it in full) and making my 2.4 my first 5 speed i had him drive it to work and i drove his truck...well long story short..i spend my lunch/breaks learning stick lol. turns out he had to leave for a meeting so i had to drive my new 5 speed home in rush hour traffic, pretty much i squeeled those tires so much im pretty sure i lost 10% of tread just on that trip home lol, i onyl stalled once tho !!!

another thing that happened that wasnt to embarrising but w/e...

on cruise night us cobalts where going for a rip down the main drag and these guys in a grand am where eyeing me up (not sexualy) and they had a girl in the back eyeing me up (sexualy) so she rolls down her window and yells "COBALTS ARE FASSSST!" where being the quick witted fello i am reply "What Can I Say, I Like To Go Fast " she smiles and just as i said that..my buddies who all own ss/sc zipped by me with the loud as whine...yeah talk about supercharger envy

ohh this reminds me of another story..we where all at subway like 5 of us and there was 3 ss/sc and me and another 2.4 who has a high rise spoiler (SS_RY) so we are all pulling out of the subway on cruise night and i hear this little kid watching the cars say "Mommy How Come That Car Doesnt Have A Big Wings Like The Other Ones" the mom replys "Because Son His Car Is Slower Then The Ones With Big Wings" yeah...wing envy

AND HOW DO U ONLY HAVE 7K MILES!! i got 7k KMS and ive had it since june!

i hate driving with all the ss/sc's in town (our group consists of everyone with a big win except me and my sister she has a ss/sc but traded to go sleeper) and everyone looks at my car like.."whats this pos doing with the big wings"!!!!!!

funny story..i made a powerpoint for school and i had a picture of me and my buddy (SS_RY) next to eachother and the caption said (Its not the size of your wing...Its how you use it!) then it went to a video of me beating him at the track :P
