Exhaust Advice!!

Ok so i need you guys/gals help on this one, im somewhat a noob when it comes to exhaust.

I got a 2.5' Downpipe (gutted cat) on the way, my dad said since we are jacking the car up we mite as well get a header, so if im not mistake i should order a 2.5' 4-1 header correct? if so what one should i order any suggestions??

also..the pipeing in the 2.4 i am told is also 2.5' untill u hit the muffler where it bottlenecks down to 2.0' is that correct? also im planing to remove my muffler for a flo pro muffler to increase flow and get a nice deep sound...

any advice or ideas from people, please im a noob for exhaust and need some advice before friday!!!

+rep for the folks who help

2.5 header is correct i believe. ive heard a lot of good things about the cobalt addiction header, its an amazing price for a good quality part. thats the way im going to go when i get money and time. everything else though im not too sure about, but i hope that helps!

The CA header has a 2.25" collector though, and sinse you have a 2.5" downpipe, you should match the size. Im looking around for you to see what I can find.

CA header is money, I love mine. I thought the stock piping on the 2.4 was 2.25" but I could be wrong. 2.5" is the way to go though, I personally love the Magnaflow, and it is 2.5", sounds perfect.

Getting a bigger header/downpipe will make your exhaust a little louder, and with no cat (or gutted cat) it might be a little more raspy too.

I cant find any that have a 2.5" collector.

I have heard good things about the CA header though, and as long as you dont make it a bottleneck (by getting a Bigger collector than downpipe) then you will be all good.

no cat is very raspy and your gonna throw codes... a header is great especially if you have the loot. zzp is a great company and sell quality products so i dont thing you can go wrong with the header downpipe combo from them. and i would check out gm's catback system cause they have been proven to gain lots of hp

Just make sure you don't get a long tube header or it won't match up to a full size (bolts to factory header) downpipe!

Get a midlength or shorty style header and you should be just fine! But yes a 2.5" collector is what you will want to match up to a 2.5" downpipe... Although I have a ported manifold going to a 3" downpipe and it worked too!
