Exhaust Opinions?
With the SS/SC..... the stock downpipe is the biggest restriction in the system , thats what i would replace first . You will be surprised how much better the stock catback will sound with a nice catted downpipe . When i installed one on my GM touring exhaust ..... I had to go back to the stock catback because it got so much louder ...... and it sounded great. The stock Cat muffles more than the stock catback lol.
local shops do mandrel bending........you just have to look up a shop online.
as for Hahn, yeah it sounds good but for your plans, it's too big AND it costs your arm and unborn child. Not worth it for the simple pleasure of sound IMO. Function > Form any day
most local shops have a wide selection of mufflers you can use! Find a mandrel bending shop (make sure to ask if they do mandrel bending) in your area and ask about their muffler selection. They might even sell the Hahn muffler

Well okay, I'm not sure how much I'm trying to spend but I know I wouldn't have enough for a header and dp combo, so would you still say that I should get the dp first? And install that for now? Then later get a header?
I would .... that will be the most bang for the buck as far as gains go.
They say about 15 HP ..... After looking at the 2 cats and the crush in between them... It's no wonder .
I'm running a 2.5" exhaust w/ a 15" stainless resonator up front and a straight pipe, i had it run into a 3inch angeled muffler on the back, but i gutted the muffler so its a straight pipe..
with the resonator up front it gives it a deep bellow

yea its mandrelexhaustsystems.com not mandrelbentexhaust.com but they have a good selection of different pipe sizes, exhaust material, and a choice between a borla muffler and 2 magnaflows. heard they had good fitment also
Really? Tight cuz that's what I'm thinking of getting, well the 2.5 inch borla. But I think ima get a resonator. I wanna hear it! You got any sound clips?
any sound clips of it dude?

unfortunately i went through a few exhaust systems before this one to find one that was very deep and barely raspy, ill get the digital camera out on video mode today no gurantee how clear it will sound ill try my best tho
Alright man sounds good. Yeah ive just been looking around too. But most likely i think im going with the borla.
nah no sound clips but i can see about getting one.... its loud as hell even after getting an insert put in it. no resonator and it doesnt help that im catless. lol but absolutely love it. as it sits now its just a tad louder than stock but itll SCREAM when you romp on it.

yeah full 3 inch system and when i go wot all you hear is the blower, as surprising as that sounds....
raced a buddy in his mach 1 last night with a full exhaust too and he said that, from his car, all you heard was my blower screaming. pretty wild

With those plans, stay 2.5". You'll decrease your exhaust gas velocity and lose horsepower. Exhaust gas velocity is an issue with sc'd and N/A cars. Basically if youre not making enough power and pushing more exhaust through your pipes, the speed of your exhaust flow will slow down (due to loss of pressure) and youll lose power.
If you get a header with 2.5" catted dp and 2.5" catback with a resonator, you'll be set up perfect.
I'll work on a video for you
