With the SS/SC..... the stock downpipe is the biggest restriction in the system , thats what i would replace first . You will be surprised how much better the stock catback will sound with a nice catted downpipe . When i installed one on my GM touring exhaust ..... I had to go back to the stock catback because it got so much louder ...... and it sounded great. The stock Cat muffles more than the stock catback lol.

as for Hahn, yeah it sounds good but for your plans, it's too big AND it costs your arm and unborn child. Not worth it for the simple pleasure of sound IMO. Function > Form any day

most local shops have a wide selection of mufflers you can use! Find a mandrel bending shop (make sure to ask if they do mandrel bending) in your area and ask about their muffler selection. They might even sell the Hahn muffler
Ill do that man, ill prolly go looking around monday. thanks.

I've been looking around at some downpipes. I thought about changing that first, just like you said, and prolly a header just to get both on at the same time. What catted dp would you recommend? in your opinion?

I've had good luck with ZZP DP's . The stock downpipe on the SS/SC looks decent from the outside but necks down to 2 inch at the inlet.

Well okay, I'm not sure how much I'm trying to spend but I know I wouldn't have enough for a header and dp combo, so would you still say that I should get the dp first? And install that for now? Then later get a header?

It's not too hard with the car in the air .... I did the SS/SC in my garage with jacks and stands and it wasn't too bad . The TC I did on my buddies lift....... It's cake with a lift.

I'm running a 2.5" exhaust w/ a 15" stainless resonator up front and a straight pipe, i had it run into a 3inch angeled muffler on the back, but i gutted the muffler so its a straight pipe..

with the resonator up front it gives it a deep bellow

yea its mandrelexhaustsystems.com not mandrelbentexhaust.com but they have a good selection of different pipe sizes, exhaust material, and a choice between a borla muffler and 2 magnaflows. heard they had good fitment also

nah no sound clips but i can see about getting one.... its loud as hell even after getting an insert put in it. no resonator and it doesnt help that im catless. lol but absolutely love it. as it sits now its just a tad louder than stock but itll SCREAM when you romp on it.

If you get a header with 2.5" catted dp and 2.5" catback with a resonator, you'll be set up perfect.

I'll work on a video for you
Very good .... Finally someone on here that understands one of the most crucial functions of an exhaust system (velocity). Remember, bigger is not always better
