Exhaust removel question

Exhaust removel question

Has anyone that changed their own exhaust kit removeed the oem kit without cutting it?
i want to transfer my gmpp to another car and want his kit back for mine but i don't want to have to get it welded. any help would be awesome

I think it is possible man, I have heard of a few doing it with out cutting. I think it just takes some time and alot of tiwsiting around untill it is at the right angle to get it out! I am not 100% sure tho, I just remember hearing it before!

So this new one that you will be installing, is it your stock exhaust, or aftermarket? You shouldn't have to cut an aftermarket one. I probably just don't understand the way you put it.

Yes, you can remove it in one piece. You have to support the rear of the car on jacks. Then remove just one bolt from each shock, and remove the brake line support brackets. You don't have to remove the shocks completely or the open the brake lines. That should allow you to drop the rear axle enough to get the pipe out as a single assembly.

I'm selling my gmpp to someone and wanted to put his stock exhaust on without having to weld the muffler.
