Exhuast Recommendations, How To Keep Her Quiet
Hey folks, so I tried searching around the forums for "Exhaust Reviews" or "Exhaust Recommendations." I am new here, and I bet I over looked something so if I did I am sorry.
I am just wanting some input on what Header / Exhaust package would be right for me.
I have a 07 SS SC With the GM Stage 2 Kit. I want to replace the old headers / exhaust as the rust is showing allot and I feel it's by far the most aged part of the car (I am pretty sure it's stock).
Ignoring budget limitations and all that, what I want is a great preforming exhaust, something with the most gains I can get, without it hitting that level of noise that is just outrageous.
Some bass is fine and all, but we all know the noise level I am talking about.

Stock catback, stock downpipe, ported stock GM manifold.
I've tried soooo many different combinations of exhaust, and this is the only one that doesn't sound like trash.
Also, don't get a 2.5" downpipe on a S/C car unless you want to lose power. Trust me, I've tried it already. You need 3". The stock one is 3" and even though it necks down by the o2's it still flows really well.

my car is VERY quiet...
ebay long tube, no cat, no res.
one mini chambered muffler where res was
one slightly larger chambered muffler where muffler is supposed to be.
no noticeable loss in power and no ricer sound

The most effective and most efficient muffler you could put on your car is a turbocharger.

The biggest mufflers you can fit are really the only way. Keeping a cat on it helps with the rasp too, and the power difference is completely negligible on the 400 cell ones for most cars.

Post one with the camera on the ground, then drive away from the camera while loading the engine in gears 1-3.
