I had to jump start my other car today, guess it's been to long since I last started it, anyway, I pop the trunk on the Red SS/SC and go to pull up the floor panel and notice it doesn't have a little plastic hook like the LS we have does. Then I pull up the panel and see a black tube running across the top of the Spare tire, I touch it and it's loose, so i pull it out and look at it, looks like a vacume hose, but not sure what for....or why it's back there. It has a 90 degree end on one side and a straight one on the other...



Any ideas? This car is the Stage 2 car that was done by the dealer, could it be a part from that?

 

The only thing a dealer would have done in your trunk from stage two would be possibly hook up a battery charger or disconnect it for a few minutes. It could possibly be a piece misplaced by the factory. Just take it into the dealer and say "I believe GM might want this for a car someday" and walk away, also watch the face on the parts guy.

 

it kind of looks like something for the windshield wiper fluid tubes, maybe they broke it and replaced it and gave you the broken piece.

 

um i would take it there and ask the dealership

 

Hmmmm....strange.

 

that's probably what it is... check under the hood.
