Farewell Cobalt

Well, I finally pulled the trigger. I loved the car, but the service department just made it impossible for me to keep the car and taking it to another service department was out of the question. Sadly, I think some of the forum members could have helped me make this car more reliable than the dealership. Oh well.

Congrats on the new car but do people who buy these cars realize there is a better version coming out in like 2 years?

Nice man, I like the look of the BRZ's. Thought about buying one but I couldn't handle the "no *****" power. Ended up buying a 2013 STi. Maybe I can add a BRZ down the road when their used.

Congrats on the new purchase!

Now let's see how many more ignorant comments you can rack up.

I did the same thing on labor day lol. Worked on my Cobalt for 9 months to get rid of P0101, P0106, and P0236 and nothing really did the trick so I cut my losses and got a new Mustang GT

I hate people saying rwd>fwd...jesus learn how to drive.

BRZ looks good, no torq, but should be fun. Also watch out for the crank position sensor error. **** loads of those cars and scions are having that issue. Get some pics yo!

Not going to lie. I miss the power... but I do not miss the torque steer. Probably didn't help that my Cobalt didn't have LSD.

If you knew what I was going through with my car, I don't think you'd be able to hold out for another 2 years.

^ This pretty much sums up my reasoning for the trade in.

As the old saying goes, haters gonna hate.

Those were the codes that I've been getting all summer. They come and go and the service department was incapable of fixing the issue because the Check Engine light would turn back off right before I brought it in.

There's some truth in your statement about "learn how to drive", but I'm going to leave this one alone. It's like beating a dead horse. And I got a 4 year/60000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, so I'm not too worried about it and I'm not beating on the car.

Based on KBB and on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being 'excellent' trade in, they gave me like an 8, which gave me positive equity towards my trade in, so I'm happy.

Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the car. The Cobalt was nice, but the service department just made it a night mare to want to keep the vehicle. Furthermore, I was tired of the torque steer. Some days, I was able to control the vehicle, other days, it was a miss. I'm not the best at keeping my cool when things get heated up on the road

And I'll try and get some more pics in this weekend.

I'm sorry to hear that you did not have a satisfactory experience with us, Eurasianman. All the best to you and your new vehicle!

Well good luck man. I love subies overall even if some don't have enough power , but reliability comes first.
