Finally got me one, black LS (pics....)

I went down to the dealership Saturday to pick it up. MSRP was 15,920, after opinions it came to 17,630 that's including the destination charges as well. After a 1,000 rebate and 2,000 dollar down payment from my Cavy trade in, it came to just under 15,000. The payments are around 282 a month, and the insurance is 960/six months, I've always got five accidents.. lol, only one was my fault though. I got it tinted today and I ordered the single cat-back from RKsport, so that should be here within five days. I'm going to save for some lowering springs and withever shocks and struts Koni is going to come out with, I'm going to go with the Racing Hart C5's (black)... . Overall though I'm very impressed with the car, it is in ever way an improvement over the Cavalier, I think Chevy did a good job. The ride is smooth, the shifting is smooth, and the car itself has so much potential, apperance and formance wise. I think the stereo system is pretty darn good for being factory, I was surprised. I can't wait to start customizing this thing.

Helped my son( Soph year College ) ,,ordered from HIGHPOINT Chevy,Sussex NJ,.. 5 spd,1SY, Moonroof,BLACK ON BLACK ,LS..(gottta admit ,,that color(nice quality 2) makes the car)..got 1500$ of GMAC incenetives and 600 from dealer on HIS smartbuy deal...-0- down,215 month for 48. $8200 buy at end,so the option is there to buy or return to dealer.

Was that $1000 insentive or the Hot Button $1000 for the promotion on the On Star program they have been advertising on the TV?

definatly looks sweet, and you got some good plans for it too. what i would do with the car is definatly tint the windows, rh c5's will be a nice touch, i would ditch the exhaust or wait and not install it until you get the car lowered and definatly get a intake system for it and a short shifter from b&M. throw all that stuff on at once; intake, exhaust, springs, shocks, rims and short shifter, and you'll be the envy of all in your town.

Very nice! Keep it clean. And in my opinion, the foremost visual/handling mod that would put the icing on the cake would be a 2" drop. Of course (the correct way) supplemented with strut tower bars and proper struts/dampers.

As far as the 1,000 rebate, truthfully I'm not even sure were that came from..lol. When the salesmen mentioned it I didn't asked, just glady took it. The tint is 15%, I live in Tampa Fl, and I've heard that the cops around here are getting tough on window tinting. But I see cars all the time with mirror tint and limo tint, so I'm not worry about it to much.

Eddie; yea I trying to decided if I want to put the exhaust on now or to wait for the lowering and rims. It's just going to be awhile before I can save up and get everything. So I'll probably put the exhaust on so it and the intake can comliment each other. I am going to wait until I get the springs, shocks, struts, rims, and put them all on at the same time.

By the way, I've seen a few things around about intakes, any info. on cold and warm air intake for the Cobalt. Thanks in advance...

-Mike
